I've downloaded the kext but have no idea of how to do the rollback. Forgive a noob for his noob question but how do I do the roll back?

NM, I managed to figure it out.problem is that now I can't get the sound on my GA-Z77X-UD5H to work now. It was working before the "upgrade". Anyone have any thoughts?

I have Foxconn H67s.
Got the error on bios.
Deleting did not work.
Reapplying Chimera did not work.
After deleting plugin installing kext did not work.
Rollback from Multibeast did not work. It left me with no ACPI kext period.

What worked.
Reinstalled plugin kext in ACPI.
Used the kext posted in this thread .
Rebooted.

Do not recommend removing the new NVIDIA kext unless you are having video problems.

You may also see two halts.
1. SMA multimedia
2. RTL838X
These appeared when it would not even safe boot.
-x -s -f -F did not help.

No Sound.
Reinstalled Multibeast fix.
Sound works.

same here.

hang at boot after 10.8.2 update.
reboot with -x
after installing the AppleACPIPlatform.kext with KextBeast there's still no sound,
had to reinstall audio driver with MultiBeast, now my hack seems ok.

What I did to update:
1)Upgraded from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 via Software update. No problems whatsoever.
2)Rebooted and got stuck at the apple logo.
3)Booted in safe mode with -x and rollbacked AppleACPIPlatform.kext,Installed audio kexts + re-enabled TRIM.
4)Rebooted and got a KP.
5)Restored AppleACPIPlatform.kext and removed OemSupport.kext,which was in S/L/E not In FakeSMC.kext.
6)Rebooted and everything works fine now. :)

BUT MultiBeast 4.6.1 for Lion installs it in S/L/E.

Hey!
I just updated to 10.8.2 and can't reinstall the sound. I tried a lot of things, like Multibeast.

My Motherboard is Z77-DS3H, actually i need ALC887. Tried many times to install it with Multibeast, but I can't get it to work. :(

Please help me!

THANKS!

P.S. Sorry for that bad english.

The right way (for the time) is the rollback on AppleACPIPlatform.kext.
Thanks the @unixservice and insaleymac.

Is the same AppleACPIPlatform.kext in MB 5.0.2?

After update, booting normally or in Safe Boot (-x -v) results in a hang (no KP though). Booting -s (single user mode) works fine.

Removed FakeSMC.kext (completely)
Same Issue
Removed AppleHDA
Same Issue
Replace AppleACPIPlatform.kext with rollback as posted in Post #5 of this thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/72956-10-8-2-problem.html#post452776
Same Issue
Turned of VT-d in bios
Same Issue
GraphicsEnabler=No
Same Issue

See screenshot of where things get stuck with -x -v
Last lines of console are:
Waiting for DSMOS...
Sandbox: sandboxd(124) deny mach-lookup com.apple.coresymbolicapplicationd
utun_ctl_connect: creating interface utun

So since booting is ok for -s perhaps there is some issue with my internal graphics? I did see some console entries such as kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD4000Graphics failed to load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I fixed my own issue, w/o FakeSMC.kext system won't boot. Added it back.
