10.8.2 problem

The right way (for the time) is the rollback on AppleACPIPlatform.kext.
Thanks the @unixservice and insaleymac.
Boot with -x and install that kext after that repair permissions and reboot

It worked for me! Thanks!

[EDIT]
I must add I had to:
- roll back my AppleHDA.kext too. Patched ALC889 and custom parameters for HDMI Audio.
- reinstall Chimera via MultiBeast.

same problem here
but can't boot in safe mode and that's the problem
any ideas?

I can't boot in safe mode either. Seems to be some kind of USB problem, as note in my earlier post. Going to try reinstalling 10.8.0 from unibeast.

Enter -x when Chimera boot screen appears and OSX should boot in Safe mode.

yeah, i know
but it hangs on boot in this mode also

Reinstalled 10.8.0, booted backup, SuperDuper restore to 10.8.1 - all fine.
10.8.2 does something that affects boot level USB initialisation or something. It can wait for now.

Do you have the same issue if you use the combo installer?

I only tried with the combo installer.

I installed the update and it didn't give error messages, it just kept stuck. I booted into safe mode and replaced the AppleACPIPlatform.kext and everything worked perfectly. I'm running 10.8.2 with no problems whatsoever. Even games are working fine.
