An update to mine. Framebuffer is Vervet, not Duckweed. I had been playing with Duckweed and then changed something to get it all to work, and in the process seem to have switched to vervet.

do the 6870's (particularly the MSI Twin Frozr II) need to use Andy's boot file as it says in the wiki, or does the latest Chameleon version or Chimera work?

Most of the 6870 cards should work with Chimera now.
Most of the information in the GPU threads where used to collect ti IDs to add them into Chimera.

hope i can get the Twin Frozr II 6870 now, as its much cooler and quieter than the stock, but almost EOL i think.

I have this one SAPPHIRE 100287VGAL Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood) 512 MB ddr5.

Worked OOB with GraphicsEnabler=No to boot after install, and was recognized and full res after 10.6.8 update but still no hdmi audio, and only video thru DVI I can connect a second monitor with the hdmi but only mirror, have not tried vga.

Rich, I am have a XFX 6870 and it works on all ports OOB using Chimera and Graphicsenabler=No 64bit. Just about to add it to the list.
