yeah I got it, it's a pain in the ass! Tried already your suggestions, no go!
Anyway I found a Catalina 10.15.0 from October 12, 2019, seems ok.
Doing the process right now, will report results.

Anyway, the combo can be installed after I have done the Catalina installation and modify the EFI?
Like a normal update?
Yes, once you have installed Catalina and modified the EFI, you can install the combo update like a normal update.

so after getting 10.15.0 on a usb, it does not start installation at all, it gets stuck right after clover screen with line of ++++++++++++++++++++++
So I am guessing the clover EFI that I have for 10.15.5 is no good for 10.15.0.
This is a nightmare!

This is where I got the EFI from, similar board and CPUs, while I have a AMD 580 8Gb.
This EFI allowed me to do the entire installation until the last error message.

what a nightmare!
I got an installation going, but when I need to format the drive with disk utility, it does not see the NMVe 1T drive that I need to format and install the Catalina on it.
The previous failed installation went through the formatting of the NVMe with AFS, so now I cannot see it!
Any suggestions?

I have finally installed Catalina with a 10.15.0 image.
I tried to install the combo 10.15.5 and updating the lilu and whateverGreen but it did not install.

I also tried the update from apple but did not work neither.
