Hi all

First time building. Ive followed the process to the letter and have an “almost” operational High Sierra desktop.

The problem..... ( besides slightly glitchy graphics) is when I restart the system it goes into what I would call a loop. The system goes to the boot menu...then to the clover screen (where it informs me that it will boot into the HD In x amount of time and finally it goes to the apple logo like its booting up and when the line under the logo gets about halfway it loops back to the boot up menu. This will continue by itself until I shut it down and restart with the usb installer.

Oddly when I opened the multibeast app and clicked on load, to retrieve my saved settings, I am informed that the file is corrupted and unable to load.

Ive researched this forum and Im assuming that multibeast didnt install properly?
I am absolutley new at this and find a lot of procceses and terminology are foreign to me. I did manage to enter an arg to put it into verbose mode..

I have included a few pictures of the text that was displayed in verbose...it went by pretty fast and I hope there is some usable data.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can find the time to help. If any other screenshots or info is needed please let me know.

Edit.....I should add that I used unibeast 8.3.2 and multibeast 10.2.0.

Since it seems to boot ok from the usb stick, using clover configurator or EFI_Mounter V3, mount the sticks EFI partition, and copy the EFI folder contained therein, to your desktop. Unmount the usb sticks EFI partition, and mount the SSD's EFI Partition.

Delete the EFI folder on the SSD's partition, and copy the one your copied to the desktop to your SSD's EFI partition.

Also ensure that FakeSMC.kext is installed to Library/Extensions. You can't just copy it, you'll need to use a kext installer.

Once its booting correctly, you can get everything else working one by one.

Knowing what you need from Multibeast, you can then go and manually install kexts to "/EFI/Clover/kexts/Other" and Library extensions as needed, to have a fully operational system.

You are using the wrong definition for your cpu, it is a Kaby Lake CPU, not a Sandy Bridge. Omit that option in multibeast should you try to use multibeast again. iMac 18,2 or iMac 18,3 are suitable definitions for your system. I should know, my hardware is very similar, just a different manufacturer of Mobo.

Thankyou very much. I have no idea how to do these things...looks like I have a bit more research to do! I appreciate your time.
