just got a new cooler your right it was running up i also upped the i7 950 to a 4.2Ghz :) cooler i got is a noctua NH-U12 great cooler :)

guys wanted to say thanks iv been running my machine with the MININAS case great little server atm iv got 10TB of storage and OSX server 10.6.6 and it works a treat :) o and i dont have a video card in it using onboard video just removed appleintelHDgraphicsFB.kext instead i installed a 4 port...

must be cable length if i plug a small cat5 cable from one machine to the other i get 70-80MB a sec so my guess is the length of cable from one machine to the other isn't the best i just ran the cable hmmmmmm.....

hey guys i have a x58a-ud3r with 10.6.5 installed on it and a server running 10.6.5 server with a h55n-usb3 and the speeds between the two via cat 5 cable is slow around the 30mb a sec i know its more then capable of over 60mb a sec why is it so slow both systems are using the Lnxtomac realtek...

just had a look at both the boards the N seems to have the same specs as my x58a-ud3r board lan is the same and so is audio i think its a go ahead :)

ok guys so i found something out not sure if people know but its new to me.... USB 3 speeds wont work with NTFS-3G but if you have Journaled it works im getting a nice 90MB a sec writes :) o and 40GB in 7 mins i like this HAHAHA

nope im afraid it isn't cosmetic my speeds are not any quicker then usb 2..... maybe i installed it wrong??? i just copied your already patched kext into /System/Extensions and repaired permissions on my SSD running my os...... not sure whats wrong

just tested on a brand new 1tb usb3 drive and its not working in usb 3 speeds..... only shows up as 480mbps....
