I actually did add the resolution using multibeast with my current card... But it's nice to at leat now the scrambled line means it's booting. Thanks for the info...
I'm having a hard time getting my xfx radeon hd 5770. I've tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No, when no, I get a scrambled line of distorted colors across the middle. When Yes, it just hangs and doesn't boot into the system. Keeps saying Sandbox: mdworker (###'s increasing) deny file-read...
Well I finally got around to making an Ubuntu disk, however it doesn't seem to recognize the disk. Only my other drive is showing up... :-/ is there something I can do to try and mount the drive or view it?
Well as stated I tried this and had no success. On my previous Snow Leopard install, I had audio working... It may have been with Voodoo I really don't remember bc I didn't have any issues, but using voodoo on this Mavericks install, I had no volume control, using the slider did not change the...
I am on Mavericks and have ALC888 and used multibeast to install the w/o DSDT ALC888 Legacy v100202. no luck...
In this guide Requirements >2 >1 supported codecs says -
"#3. 10ec0888 (v100202 and v100302) - ALC888/ALC888s"
Then under Unsupported/Non-working Realtek ALC AppleHDA.kext it lists...
Just thought i'd update that all i had to do was run kext utility which repaired the permissions and now everything is working ok, other then audio. I have posted a thread in Audio here if anyone has any advice...
Ok good news, I am able to boot into Mavericks with my drive hooked up internally by adding LegacyAppleAHCIPort.kext to /System/Library/Extensions/ and then booting with -v -f
However, I HAVE to boot using -f, otherwise I still get the "still waiting for root device" error.
But at least I know...
After much trouble trying to get this setup, trying SL, and now mavericks, I finally tried hooking up the disk externally with a SATA/USB adapter and sure enough, the installer was able to see the drive. I installed Mavericks, was able to boot into it, and Run Multibeast, and rebooted with it...
I was able to install Mavericks Successfully, and I was able to boot into Mavericks booting with the Unibeast USB and selecting my drive still hooked up external. When switching it back to the internal SATA port, i get "still waiting for root device". My bios setting is in Raid, so i'm not sure...
I hooked my drive up to a SATA to USB cable and the installation recognizes the disk, and I was able to format and its installing right now. However, I know that I am going to need some kext to be able to boot normally after install. I know I'll be facing a "still waiting for root device" error...
I'm having the same problem trying to install mavericks, it doesn't see the Hard drive. Is there a similar kext for mavericks or can I use the same one?
I can get into the installation, fine, actually for the first time with no boot flags needed. however it is not recognizing my hard drive. It's listed on the boot loader screen and in the bios but not in the installer. Originally it was on port 1, I switched to port 0... I don't know what to...
well I used the first version of the patch in that link just to try it. Wasn't sure when to run the script so i did it before installing the combo update, rebooted and it seemed ok, although I don't know what the script did, it opened a terminal and all it said after entering my password was...
i'm getting so frustrated. I don't understand why I can't get this to work, the only thing different in my setup is a different seagate 500gb drive, same as the other that i never had a problem installing on, it was purchased recently, but could that really be the difference? Every attempt, I...

http://www.tonymacx86.com/398-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-november-2013.html

I'm getting this issue when trying to do a fresh install of Snow Leopard, and after installing the combo update, then multibeast and restart... I would like to try this patch but i'm not sure how to do it.... I downloaded the most recent version attached to the first post in that thread on...
