Hmm, I installed it and rebooted, but when I went to the NVIDIA Driver Manager, it still shows me as using the OSX Default Driver. I've gone into the menu and selected the "Nvidia Web Driver" and then reboot, but it's still showing that it is using the OSX Default Driver. Any one else having...
Lostswede, can you comment on how a gigabyte motherboard with UEFI differs from an ASUS one that has been flashed with a modified firmware compatible for mac? Is it exactly the same at that point (besides the different ethernet, usb and audio controllers)? Just curious
Sleep works fine for me if I don't have the USB3 kext installed. When PXHCD.kext is installed, my hackintosh will go to sleep for 5 seconds and then wake up immediately.
Is there any fixes for this yet?
draken, do you have the USB3 kext installed? if you aren't sure, go to System/Library/Extensions and see if you have PXHCD.kext in there.
you can try removing this and rebooting to see if it fixes your sleep issue.
unfortunately this means no usb3 :(
There's a new bios update for P8Z68-V Pro/GEN-1
Download: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8Z68-V_PRO/P8Z68-V-PRO-ASUS-3203.zip
Could you please patch this new bios?
Yes initially I thought I was just having a sleep problem. But it appears I'm also having a C-states & P-States not being generated problem as well. I think that both issues might be related, and if I manage to fix the CPU C-States & P-States problem, then sleep might work too once I do that...
Thanks for the fast reply. I will definitely give that a try but I think I may have discovered another possible explanation from that thread you linked me.

^in that thread, you replied to doomstalk who had a problem with...
Great work samisnake. I'm using your patched bios for my P8Z68-V Pro and it's working fine.
I'm having an issue with sleep though. For some reason, if I use the USB 3.0 kext (PXHCD.kext I think) to enable USB3 on my motherboard, then I lose my sleep capabilities.
I was wondering if you had any...
So I'll be receiving an Intel 510 series 250gb SSD soon. I was wondering what would be the best way to partition the drive and install each operating system? Like, which order would be preferable -- Install Windows 7 first or Lion?
On a side note, there are a lot of guides on how to optimize...
Could you tell me how you got it to work? I'm still not having any success with it and kinda just gave up and am using both monitors with discrete graphics card. But i'd prefer to use one monitor dedicated for discrete and the other dedicated for iGPU.
Hi guys,
Using the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, I can put my computer to sleep by going to the apple menu and clicking sleep. And it wakes up perfectly fine as well.
Only issue is that after 15 minutes of being idle (the time I set for it to sleep), instead of automatically going to sleep, it just turns...
Ok I tried changing the keys to that and still have the same issue. I've attached a screenshot to give you guys a better idea of the corruption:

Ok I changed it to 0122 instead of 0112 and now it's giving me an output. But the video is extremely corrupt/garbled, can't make out anything. Was there something else I was supposed to do besides editing Info.plist in both of the kexts to replace the default 0x01068086 or whatever to...
<key>SMboardproduct</key>
<string>Mac-94245B3640C91C81</string>
I already have an SMboardproduct key and string in my smbios.plist. Should I add the above to the end of the file while keeping my current smboardproduct, or change my current one to the above?
Also, how do you find out the ID of...
So, I just installed Lion on my ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard with i7-2600k. Everything seems to be working fine so far except I'm not getting any display on my 2nd monitor.
I have two monitors...one is connected via DVI to my discrete graphics card (GTS 250) and the other monitor is connected...
It's not really a permanent solution but you can just press the boot menu key (not sure what it is for your mobo, might be esc, f8 or f12) and just select your windows drive when you want to boot into it.
