I was mulling over WHY my ethernet wasn't working after multibeast install and i just now realized that its because i have my ethernet plugged into the Atheros port. I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I was on GA's site and it said port 1 was intel and 2 was atheros.
I've been hitting my...
With all the network issues I have with my Z87n Wifi board I think i'm just going to get one of these. It's so frustrating having the network work with unibeast when when i run multibeast it craps the bed. wifi internet is better than no internet.
I can't even get my ethernet to work after a fresh install of Mav. It works when I boot using unibeast but when I install the Bootloader it will NEVER work.
It's frustrating.
Wow I had no idea this turned out as popular as it did.
I just now tried installing Mavericks from a fresh install and everything works again except my network.
It doesn't help maybe that I was on F2 bios lol only 3 revisions behind so I updated that to F5 and now i'm doing another fresh...
Sorry for not replying, I haven't resolved the OC Issue and I'm still having Ethernet issues. No matter what I try to do it's not working. I don't know if its because I'm dual booting or what.
Hello there, I just have a quick question regarding over clocking in general.
A couple weeks ago I installed 10.8.5 on my z87n motherboard but I did so under the stock clock at 3.4ghz. When I installed windows I tweaked the voltage settings and after some trial and error *and help from a...
Turns out it was my overclocking. What was stable in windows was not stable in OSX. I don't know why but when I reset the factory defaults, and rebooted a couple of times it worked.
This sure is fickle.
I honestly don't understand my problem. I installed ML a ton of times with this issue then I got everything to work, sound and ethernet. Now I just tried booting up to my OSX SSD and ethernet will not work. It doesn't get updated through DHCP and it just assigns itself some random IP and the...
Thanks I read that already and that's what I've done now on both drives. But now my once working build isn't working completely. I can't get the network to work anymore and I'm not doing anything different.
I have a Z87N Wifi Motherboard, I5 4670k Cpu 16gb Ram MSI GTX 760 Video and 2 Vertex 4 256gb SSD's.

I install ML Fine, no issues. Have it working perfect.
I run Multibeast get all my settings installed and install Chimera.
Then I try...
Can comfirm it works perfectly.
GA-Z87N-WIFI
I5 4670K Cpu
16gb DDR3 1600
MSI GTX 760
Working perfectly with Unibeast and Chimera installed 10.8.5 tonight. Sound, network, bluetooth all 100%
I just bought basically the same exact build as you from Microcenter which after sales and discounts and tax came t 828.
I wish they have some DSDT's for the motherboard tho seeing it on the compatibility chart and not having support for it is a bummer.
I just picked up this board too because I saw it in the compatibility section but I don't see any DSDT's for it listed. as for custom settings I have no idea which to choose.
so im kinda bummed out i wanted to get the hackintosh side working tonight.
