Hi, it seems thatb both methods arent working for me. I have tried install kexts for my adapter and trying the NullEthenet thing yet I still cant acsess the appstore. It just says that message about it not recognisng my device id or whatever. Maybe i'm doing it wrong? Thanks.

I've tried nearly every single method of trying to get the appstore to wokr yet i have failed everytime, being presented with kernel errors and all sorts. So what is it at fault here causing my laptop to run so slow? Is it the inter grated graphics or the processor it's self?

Sorry for a late reply but I just noticed that one of the MacBook Pro 2010s use an arrandale CPU (i5-540m). Could it be worth while upgrading to this seeing as my pc supports it and it was in a mac?

I'm not really sure what you mean when you say it will be stuck at 8x. Everything booted fine. Not sure if it's made a difference. Could you define the 8x thing?
