The guide is practically flawless. i will say though, which hopefully im not the only one, or it could just be something related to how my plist is setup, but i came to discover if i try to use a system definition other than what it defaulted to (which in the case of my board like im sure many...
I just took notice of that. I never sleep mine; I just have the monitor set to turn off. I haven't used sleep since before when Ii was using an R9 390 because of the same problem, tbh I wish i would have built a dedicated hack and kept my OC R9 280x, literally EVERYTHING worked, but of course...
a flawless victory for me on evga gtx 1060 ssc , just had to update os to the .4 instead of .2 (last working off igfx) install the nvidia drivers and reboot. didnt have to change my clover plist or anything else (thank god, i think i spent over a week trying to get my on board 5.1 audio to work...
does anybody here have a 9 series board? i'm having a no wake from sleep issue, and i dont remember how to fix it, ( or if i even had to in the first place ) in yosemite it worked fine but now i cant wake from sleep, i just did an upgrade from 10.5 to beta 5 and now 6, any help/suggestions is...
Just to share my own experience with beta 5
Thanks to the info in the workaround article (thank you tony)
after updating to the latest clover
editing my already working plist to turn off sip
and then simply upgrading from the usb from yosemite 10.5 ( i didnt install clover to my install usb...
Could you explain that a bit further? forgive my lack of insight but with 3252, we would need to use a modified config.plist or could the one i am already using be tweaked in clover configurator in order to update, and load my kexts
for beta 1 there is a guide,
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-support/167901-how-create-os-x-el-capitan-public-beta-installation-usb-using-clover.html
yea i kind of went the same route, except for the fact that i use plex alot on my hackintosh. i bought a usb adapter, until i figured out that there was a way to get audio through my gpu since i have a 5.1 home theater system. voodoo was to inconsistent for using the audio on my board but if...
Awesome Man, thanks, I'll have to try this out, do you think it will work with the hdmiaudio kext/script that works on the r9 280x ? or am i just stuck without audio for now?
im not sure if you are using clover or not, but i opened your config.plist, you dont need to inject the graphics kexts, the r9 290 has naitive support, i have the 280x i can give you my plist and you can tweak it according to what your build has, also to, you may need to remove the rootless=0...
this is a very informative thread, so just to throw in a question and it may be redundant but would enabling rootless=0 fix the issue of b2 not loading 3rd party kexts (i.e. LAN and hdmiaudio, apparently fakesmc still works, that or it has to do with the fact that i did an upgrade instead of a...
If you have clover 3241 you dont need the usb to boot, actually if you were already running the latest clover you wouldnt have needed to put clover on usb anyway, unless you did a whipe install, but then too i guess it depends on your system
i got beta 2 bootable but my kexts arent working, my hdmi audio script doesnt work and neither does my lan kext, i assume fakesmc is working since i can boot, i tried s/l/e but to no avail they dont work, so i guess i'll have to wait for the next clover update:beachball::beachball:
good to know, i'll experiment with it today and see what happens, push comes to shove, i can always roll back, plus i have a time machine if i really really have to start over
