I was able to update to High Sierra thanks to your tips, and the fact that I figured out that I had misunderstood how Clover updates were supposed to work.
In any case, everything works, but a graphics-intensive game I like to play now runs super slow. On Yosemite and Sierra, I was getting...
I am still on Yosemite 10.10.5. Just applied the most recent OS X security update, and then ran Multibeast. However, I have no audio.
I reinstalled the AppleHDA.kext by copying from the Yosemite installer USB, and rebooted. But that didn't work, either.
Following the Yosemite upgrade instructions, my upgrade worked. Two things I found at the Multibeast step:
must not load old Multibeast settings from Mavericks
use only the default DSDT-free settings, plus set the audio driver to ALC892
And that was it. Pretty painless.
Sorry to hear that. I had only one issue updating from Mountain Lion to Mavericks: my Aperture license died, and I had to buy a new copy. Also had to run MultiBeast again to get back audio and networking.
After that, updating to 10.9.4 from the App Store was no problem: did MultiBeast again, as...
I tried to run with a Gigabyte GA-Z77N-wifi, checking "UserDSDT or DSDT-free", and then only the default which is the PowerManagement patch. The installer hangs here:

I had been running 10.8.3 just fine, only minor issues with USB 3.0.
I updated to 10.8.5 with the combo updater a couple of days ago, and now the on-board USB 3.0 does not work - external HD is not seen, but the hi-speed and super-speed USB 3.0 interfaces show up in the System Info. Also...
No joy for me: can't boot since using the combo updater.
My setup: Customac mini deluxe 2012
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77N-wifi
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
GPU: EVGA GeForce GT 640, with 2GB RAM
RAM: 2 x 8GB
Tried booting from the HD, as well as using my Lion unibeast USB flash drive. Unplugged...
MiGster58 posted a fix here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/59178-itunes-hd-content-not-working-my-ivy-hackintosh.html
Just run iTunes in 32-bit mode, and it works.
Thanks to membersheep for that tip about the black rectangle. It's gone, now.
Everything works except that iTunes videos do not play: it's just black, no video, no audio. Finding the file and trying to play with QuickTime Player 10.2 gives the same result. But at least VLC works. :)
EDIT...
I have an almost identical set up. based on the Customac mini deluxe:
MB: GA-Z77N-wifi
CPU: i5-3570K
RAM: 2 x 8GB
GPU: GT 640 2GB
OS: Mac OS X 10.8.2
Everything seems to work now, even booting off the HD directly. Had to use this trick -...
