Hi zzmadd
Could you be a little more specific about installing Big Sur from another system then booting. What kind of system? What EFI did you use? I was able to install Big Sur on an X99 Xeon cpu using this EFI but it does not boot on my
i 5820 K cpu.
Thanks
Hi Ryan
I used your efi on my X79 box; it booted all right and the installation started but it stopped with 15 minutes left. No crash, no freezing since the mouse keeps working. I repeated the installation process three times, but it always stopped with 15 minutes remaining to the installation...
Hi
I tried your EFI. It boots all right and the installation works normally until there is 13 minutes left. Then it stops and I get this message:"An error loading the update". I tried to install twice and I got the same error. Any idea?
Thanks
Hi ennoclao
Just wondering which EFI is working with your X99 i7 5820K? I have the same cpu, same graphics card, but with a MSI X99 SLI Plus mobo.
Thanks
Thanks for your new EFI 0.6.4. However I'm getting the same "OCB start image failed, aborted" error message. I wonder if it may have anything to do with my MSI X99 SlI motherboard.
Thanks again
Hi Shantou
Your EFI works very smoothly with my X99 Xeon cpu and installs perfectly. However, it does not boot with my i7-5820K cpu. Any idea.
Anyway, thanks a lot

You did not offend me at all. On the contrary, I am glad you replied to my interrogations. Yes, I do have Windows 10 on one of my hard drives. Are you saying that I could flash my Sapphire HD 7850 with a rom from a different card?
Thanks
I have spent hours trying to make all the ports of my HD 7850 (two mDP, one HDMI and one DVI) and HD 7870 (two mDP, one HDMI and two DVI) work with Mohave 10.14.4 but I could only get the two mDP ports work using a mDP to HDMI adapter and a mDP to DVI adapter. Is there any way to make the video...
Thanks a lot for this info. I am using lilukext and WEG as well as ATI inject. I also applied a ATIcontroller patch in the kext and kernel to patch section. I downloaded the data for the different ATI 7000 framebuffers and I could find the one that matches my card but I have no idea how to edit...
I also have a HD 7850 but I can get monitors working only when I use mDP adapters to HDMI and to DVI. If I connect a monitor directly to the DVI port of the HD 7850 I can get a picture only during the initial boot process(showing the verbose stuff) but when it gets to the actual Mojave window...
I know that DP can carry audio but when I connect my computer via the mDP hdmi adapter to the Home Movie Theatre Receiver my computer does not "see" the mDP audio output. Therefore, I cannot send audio from the computer to my receiver unless I use an optical cable from the computer to the input...
Not a stupid question! I want HDMi because I often use my computer to watch video streaming. I have HDMI cable running from my computer to my Onkyo receiver. I like HDMI because I can use a single cable to carry video and audio. HDMI has always worked for me. But with the Radeon card I will...
