I have my ports limited to 14 because I chose to disable the two internal USB 1.0 headers. The math simply ends up at 14. You can use my DSDT as long as you have the same board and version and can live with the disabled internal headers. Or you can simply choose which ports you'd like and...
OK I figured out the start on mouse/keyboard problem. If you enable ErP in Bios, the booting on mouse/keyboard action will stop–however I also think Wake On Lan will also stop working. I'll need to test this but at least I can shut down the computer down without it waking it every time I...
Not sure if this will help people in this thread. I have the same board and I've attached my DSDT files there. My setup works almost flawlessly. See my comments. I'm using the F21 bios...
Good questions.
Audio appears to work but I don't have a full surround or optical hooked up to it to be 100% sure. All input and outputs appear in System Preferences. I do know line out works.
By FW I assume you mean Firewire? There aren't any firewire ports so I don't have that problem...

NOTABLE ADDITIONS
I remapped the...
I'll try and detail my setup sometime this week. I've been meaning to add my own tutorial but haven't got around to it. It's not too far off from BoomR's.
Hey BoomR, I have a practically identical setup. My recommendation for your fan question is to keep the pump header (OPT) set to "Full-Speed". Then keep the CPU header at "Normal". If you want more aggressive settings you can try manual but my experience with manual Smart Fan settings has not...
Going to try VendorID: 8086 / DeviceID: 1E31 taken from a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 10,1.
Update: …wait this would be Intel's 7 Series USB3 chip. I think I need a little more research before I pull the trigger.
So what you're saying is that if your MOBOs USB3 chip is supported by Apple's driver natively I can just use Apple's Vendor and Device ID to flash? Skipping CalDigit or LaCie's driver all together? If so do you know the Vendor and Device ID for Apple?

I wonder how well this IR receiver would work. No home HTPC would be complete with out a remote.
