Attempting to Install OS X 10.10.4 with GTX 970 4096MB.

I made the modifications to boot.plist and used the aformentioned power rollback kext. It seems to be working now. My graphics card also reports the correct amount of memory back also. Although i'm still confused as to what wiped my boot.plist before.

Attempting to Install OS X 10.10.4 with GTX 970 4096MB.

Hi, It seems that it was written all in lowercase all along. I tried installing a Kext that I found here to deal with the issue raised in the verbose boot. http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/72956-10-8-2-problem.html It worked the first time, however on a subsequent...

Attempting to Install OS X 10.10.4 with GTX 970 4096MB.

My system specs are as follows: Intel core i7 3770 3.4Ghz 16gb 1600Mhz DDR3 Gigabyte GA-Z77x-D3H Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 4096MB 2x 60SSD OCZ 1x 1TB Seagate 7200RPM I previously had a GTX 670 which worked flawlessly under 10.9 Mavericks, however an RMA on the card returned a 970 to me which...

    [SUCCESS]GA-Z77X-D3H Audio Support

Good news! This guide seems to be obsolete now, I recently installed Mavericks and the new Multibeast beast Mavericks comes with Voodoo HD drivers for the VT2021 chipset, which is what the GA-Z77x-D3H uses, so now all you need to do is check the box and install and there you have it, no more...

I haven't encountered any kernel panics, I'm afraid this is a unique situation to you.

Considering a sound card, advice needed.

    I believe so, I'm using a GA-Z77x-D3H.

Considering a sound card, advice needed.

Audio is one of my weak areas of computer knowledge, I don't really know much about it except that onboard audio is tolerable but not the best and that a dedicated sound card is a means to better audio quality. What I'm running: OS X 10.8.1 with onboard sound using VoodooHDA. What I do: A...

    [SUCCESS]GA-Z77X-D3H Audio Support

Sorry for late reply again. No kernel panics, the only issue with my build is that I have to boot from the USB boot loader because for some reason the boot loader on multi beast won't work, but that's not an audio issue. Steelfox what on earth are you talking about?

    OpenGL on the 6xx series.

I'm personally using an EVGA GTX 670 2048MB, but I only seem to get OpenGL 2.1 and some 3.x extensions, is anyone getting full support for 3.2 or above on their cards? Does 10.8.2 make a significant difference? Thanks

    Safe to Update to 10.8.2?

I updated and the boot hangs at the Apple logo, this also happens when I try to boot from the bootloader that isn't on the USB. I'm using a GA-Z77x-D3H. I don't know what the issue is but I had to reinstall.

Nvidia announces the Quadro K5000 for Mac

The GTX 670 is a different kind of card, it has a different function to this one which is more geared towards 3D design and CAD/CAM stuff, not high speed rendering that games do. The GTX 6xx series work native with Mountain Lion, you may need to enable OpenCL support though. You get a 2.1 OpenGL...

    Geekbench score, expected or bad?

Very nice! Yeah no other apps are running. I've thought about overclocking but my heat sink is the standard one, I'm guessing that the high clock speeds make a big difference?

    Geekbench score, expected or bad?

Okay so here is my build: Intel core i7 3770k 3.4ghz 16GB DDR 1600Mhz EVGA GTX 670 2048MB 60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD GA-Z77X-D3H Gigabyte motherboard OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.1 TP-Link WDN4800 wi-fi card My system is practically vanilla, apart from an audio driver; everything is running on native...

    [SUCCESS]GA-Z77X-D3H Audio Support

I've looked at a few guides, and I've managed to get audio working on the GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard. In short, what I did was follow this guide on a FRESH install of Mountain Lion, using GUIDE A. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=275228 However when it instructed me to...

    System Spec appraisal.

On a side note, all of the tutorials that I've seen for mountain lion seem to use an 8GB usb stick. Is it possible to use DVDs instead? Mountain Lion is important for GTX 670 support it would seem.

    System Spec appraisal.

Ah okay, so it won't work out of the box without kexts and so results may vary.

    System Spec appraisal.

Oh okay, so does this necessarily mean I won't get any sound support?

    System Spec appraisal.

Heya! I've been a mac user for the last three years however I recently got a new machine and I went with a custom built PC since macs just didn't offer the power I was looking for. I didn't put the machine together with a hackinotsh in mind, so I wonder how compatible my hardware is, thanks...
