Hey,
As far as I'm aware:

1366x768: Obviously screen res

@60: at 60 hertz screen refresh rate. You should use whatever your monitor outputs but I think most are 60hz
Hi sankarsana,
Looks like you have a different processor to me so I guess the DSDT won't work. You can always try it though, just dump it in the Extra folder and reboot. If you get problems booting and it doesn't look like it will work, boot with DSDT=null to boot without it and then you can...
Thanks for the info, I got a little excited for a moment thinking you had the ATI card working :(. My HD4000 has no display output. I installed the bios mod and I turned off my ATI card in the bios, big mistake that was! I basically had to navigate the bios to turn the ATI card back on with no...
Do you have the exact same model as me? With the 7650m graphics? PLEASE let me know what you did! I have spent a very very long time trying to get the graphics working with no luck.
Assuming you are planning on dual booting with Windows...
This is the guide I used...
Sorry for the delay, not been on here much lately. I honestly have no idea. I'm not that clued up with bios's or bios mods, I just requested the unlock for my bios. You should make yourself aware of the consequences and do some research and ultimately make a decision.
Looking at the Sony...
Hmm that's strange, you have the exact same laptop as me it should just work! To delete the kexts, in the USB, go to \Extra\Extensions. I found that deleting AppleACPIPlatform.kext worked for me. The 'Extra' folder on the USB is hidden so you'll need to show hidden files in Finder. After...
No, the bios mod won't help you for this. I only installed mine to help get my graphics card working, which so far has been unsuccessful.
Are you using the USB 3.0 port on the left? If so, you must use a USB 2.0 port (on the right). Try using different ones.
The only other difference you...
Add -v to your boot flags. So boot with :
UseKernelCache=No GraphicsEnabler=No -f -v
Take a picture of where it gets stuck and upload it here. You could also try adding -x to boot in safe mode.
It's an bios mod to unlock extra advanced config. You won't need it to hackintosh with (at least yet). Only use it if you know what it is and what to do with it as you could brick your laptop if you're not careful!
Nope. I'm afraid not. The 7650m is not in the supported card list, but the device id is in the ATI7000Controller kext, so I am assuming that it should work. Will be spending some more time on it over the next few days. Will update here if I get anywhere.
Hi mate, I'm afraid not. I haven't spent any time on this in a while, I am waiting for the public release of 10.8.3 but it seems to be taking forever
7mb vram is pretty awful but it's usable if you just want to browse the web and general use etc.
FWIW on my hackintosh, I had "waiting for root device" and I booted with "GraphicsEnabler=No -f UseKernelCache=No" and it got past it. That was in a USB 2.0 port though, didn't try my USB 3.0 port. Just thought it was worth mentioning in case you hadn't tried those flags.

I don't think it's possible to get the Atheros AR9485 card working. I have not found anyone that has this working. I replaced my card with an Atheros AR9287 with ease, it cost me £10 ($15) from eBay. It's easy to fit, I just needed a modded IONetworkingFamily kext, which you can get from my...
As it's in the system folder, you may need to put "sudo" in front of your commands, but as you won't yet have an administrators password, I don't know if it will work. But it should work if you boot with -s to run single user (admin only) mode. You get terminal then and you can run your commands...
If you can get to the installer, you can use Disk Utility to repair permissions. It's in the utilities menu up top. Have you tried that? There is a terminal command but I think Disk Util does the same thing (Can't remember the cmd)
I have a near fully functional HackBook Pro. The only thing that isn't working in Graphics Acceleration, everything else works! (Well everything that I care about)
Current 'To Do' List:
+ Enable Graphics Acceleration for QE/CI
+ Fix Bluetooth
+ Come up with a better trackpad solution...
I'm no longer running Lion, I have upgraded to Mountain Lion. But, do you have the same laptop (mobo) as me? If so, I can just extract my DSDT for you if you like? One thing that you would need to do is head over to eBay and purchase an Atheros AR9287 Wifi card as the factory installed AR9485...
