Hi All Im too scared to upgrade my 10.8 (first install) on my 4530s ... without some sort of walkthrough or guide! I cant seem to find one anywhere, is their a link .. i dont even know the first step of what i should be doing, im pretty sure i shouldnt be just pressing the software update...

Why only 6 reults in search? Ive trawled through the guides and forums trying to find an image of how to remove the cover of the optical drive to fix it to the HDD which is now replaced the dvd drive .. does anyone know what thread it was in? thx

I had this issue, when to the displays option clicked on the external display and the problem went away, im connected to a HDMI screen now, which would be mirrored if opened the lid! Used probook installer 5bt

Cheers Caddy, SSD and disks from HP are on the way! I, assuming i should remove the current HD and put the SSD in that slot then put the old HDD in tot he optical drive? Or wont it matter? Also if i remove the HDD and add the SSD, i just boot form usb and install lion straight away?

Thanks for the reply! I went for a 128GB SSD and brought a caddy to swap out the optical drive. Now my thoughts are to install Win 7 and Mountain lion on the SSD and then use the older hard drive for storage/applications .. i know this is possible but not sure of the process, im guessing...
