Did you get it working? I'm also thinking about an X99 build but I don't know if I need/how to patch the kernel for the X99 and Broadwell CPU to work.

This build is completely stable, just make sure to use 2x(# of GB) sticks instead of 4x(# of GB) sticks if you plan to use Chimera for your bootloader. -HTM
