    << Solved >> ASMedia 2142 USB only gets 5Gb/s, not 10GB/s

@gabevf have you tried loading a codeless kext that was used to correctly call the ASMedia kext after it was relocated in Big Sur or Monterrey? I had to use it to precisely solve a similar issue with an USB 3.0 AIC which was also relying on the ASMedia 2142 controller?

<< Solved >> VDA Decoder Failure- Empty / headless framebuffer ID for Intel UHD 630 in a i9-10900k processor

In the Hackintool System tab, I see that the vda decoder failed. I did the vda decoder check in terminal that is suggested in dortania and I got a 12473 error. I was wondering if someone else with a similar configuration has seen the same message for the vda decoder. My mobo is MSI z590-A Pro...

macOS Sonoma is Now Available From the Mac App Store

Should SecureBootModel be defined as Disabled? Also, you have to verify the boot args, depending on how you are handling AMFI: To disable AMFI: boot-args | string | amfi=0x80 1. Using amfi=0x080 as a boot arg with csr-active-config=03080000 or 2. Using AMFIPass.kext with boot arg...

AMD 6600 on macOS: custom Zero RPM with softPowerPlayTable on DeviceProperties

@miliuco this is a great guide. I actually applied it for my new build which has a MSI RX 6600 Armor 8 GB GPU and at least the temperature in idle time has gone done from 40-50 Celsius to 31 Celsius. I imagine when testing in heavy GPU processing task it will not reach a high temp. However, the...

[Success] MacOS Big Sur on Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3, i7-4790, Radeon RX580, OpenCore 0.6.4

@simonsaba I installed Ventura recently to see how it runs but I decided to upgrade my build to have a 10th gen CPU and a z590 mobo with a dgpu, rx 6600, to extend the macOS life a couple of more years, using a newer gpu without having to apply OpenCore legacy root patches to make my deprecated...

[GUIDE] General Framebuffer Patching Guide (HDMI Black Screen Problem)

Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I changed the SMBIOS to iMac 17,1 due to the RX 580 and Monterey. However, the RX 580 stopped working and I’m trying to setup the igpu to drive a display and also have dual monitors. Do I have to change the SMBIOS again now that I don’t have a wording dgpu? I...
