Hi
I know this is a question to an old thread but I have the same setup.
In the Unibeast setting, do you remember if you used the new UEFI settings on the legacy ones?
@Gigamaxx I don't understand what you mean? Are you talking about a setting in the Clover setup or something that should be on the USB (I put the screenshot of that USB drive as a pdf in previous post)
@Gigamaxx I am using the version dowloaded via the AppStore as suggested by trs96 (not gibos, as that approach did not work), is your suggestion still valid?
I nevertheless have followed your suggestion using the Clover version suggested by trs96 in this post.
I've screenshot what is now on...
@thepawn I started with gibmacos but UniBeast didn’t work. Then I changed smbios via multibeast and downloaded via Mac store. So I think you are where I was. Having downloaded from Mac store - it is still not being recognised
@MacMan and rest of the team -
then why does UniBeast show Catalina when you go through the setup (surely if there's something wrong it shouldn't show)?
And what do you suggest now? I've followed all suggestions made my everyone. The image is the right size 8.23gb.
All I am attempting to do is...
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --nointeraction
sudo: /Applications/Install macOS Catalina/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found
Then tried including .app after Catalina with this response:
sudo...
I'm struggling to get a OSX Usb drive at the moment, but do not want to hold up by build for Win 10.
1. Is it possible to install Win 10 as you describe and then some time later do the OSX part?
2. If so, you said:
The only special thing you need to do for Win10 is create the EFI partition as...
Tried your suggestion from the apple page. See below for command and failure output
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath
Password:
dyld: Library not loaded...
Should I pay attention to this note on the Apple page:
Important: To get the correct installer, download from a Mac that is using macOS Sierra 10.12.5 or later, or El Capitan 10.11.6.
I am running Yosemite...
OK. I took that approach and it replaced the 20mb installer with a 8.23gb installer (same size as the one I got from the gibos) but when I use Unibeast 10.1, I get the same error message. Log details here again:
UniBeast version 10.1.1 Catalina
UniBeast choices Destination select: USB 30.7GB...
I'll try now. Just one quick question that isnt totally clear from the documentation. Does the Unibeast version relate to the version of the OSX you are trying to get on a USB drive or to the version of the OSX you are running. I think its former but wanted to double check, since you are on online
I updated SMBIOS and went via MAS route. Despite deleting old installer and emptying trash, it only downloads a 20mb file. How do I get the full version Unibeast needs?
Re-stating from my first post
4. System specifics where UniBeast was run including hardware configuration and macOS version. OSX 10.10.5 Processor 3.5Ghz Intel core i3. 8gb ram. Intel HD Graphics 4600 1536mb. Mac Mini (mid 2011)
It is not a Mac Pro, it is Hackintosh which started from snow...
