Hi !
Here on Ventura 13.6.5 perfect stability.
Actually I had to unplug the internal DVD drive because some time to time it made the finder instable (for no reason, but often after multiple standby / wakeup cycles). This issue didn't occur since these CD-ROM removal. ;)
Yes but son't worry too much about the root patches to reapply after updates, it's very straightforward and even automatic, OCLP will popup at startup to let you do this for you.
And also you won't benefit from the incremental updates. For each update it will download the full 12 GB version. Not...
Before installing OCLP, you need to do some modifications in the config.plist and include AMFIpass.kext.
I had it installed back in October and it was working. But for now I'm back in Ventura and will still wait before migrating to Sonoma...
This is extremely interesting !
I also have some doubts on the internal DVD drive and was thinking on unplugging it.
What is the 2nd audio interface ? Could you please explain how you can uninstall it ?
But I would advise NOT keeping amfi=0x80 in boot-args.
It will prevent some applications (Dropbox, Teams...) to work properly. The best is to remove this and put AMFIpass.kext 1.4.0 instead (without any boot-arg).
Hello,

I used the AMFIpass.kext v1.4.0 and there is nothing to add on boot args.
I just wanted you let you know how easy it was ! :)
No it was interesting to read !
It's weird about the Broadcom issue because on my Ventura Setup, my Broadcom is detected and fully operational out of the box without any kext or OCLP.
OCLP is only needed in Sonoma because Apple dropped all support for all the Broadcom chips (except those in the...
Your main macOS drive is a SATA one or the internal NVME SSD ?
On mine standby / sleep mode works great. Had only to disable completely Hibernate mode because it had some random impacts from time to time.
Sonoma is 100% OK, I only had to apply this guide ...
Hello !
Did someone try to install Sonoma on the Dell 8930 ?
It should not be too difficult, except from the WIFI thing which requires some kexts and tweaking + OCLP...
I had a lot of fluctuations with my Fenvi T919 WIFI (even with Monterey). This is not the most efficient wireless cards and antennas...
I ended up using wired Ethernet and keep WIFI only for continuity / handoff / airdrop...
