<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

Sorry to hear that! For me this fix definitely worked. My system is very stable with it. Maybe it has to do with some incompatibility with your monitor?

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I have been using the fix from @coyzjt and did not have any crashes since. Normally it would occur multiple times a day. This look very promising! :)

The new card has the same bios as the old card: ROM Revision: 113-D3250100-102 Let's see if it is still unstable..

Thanks awesome! Thanks! Today I have received my replacement W5500 from AMD, I will install it coming weekend. If stability issue still occur I will try your fix. I will also check my bios version and post result here. To be honest i'm probably going to keep my current 5500XT because it is...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

My W5500 is on its way to AMD to be replaced.. in the meantime I am able to use a Asus 5500XT which works fine. It is essentially the same card I guess and probably using the same driver. The 5500XT device ID is 7430 instead of 7431 for the W5500.

@hvintik & @djlild7hina it might take a few weeks before I have the replacement card, but I certainly will report back on the vBios version. I do not know how to extract the vBios, but if you can guide me to instructions I will extract the vBios.

My W5500 will be replaced by AMD. If I have my replacement card I will test if this issue still occurs and report back.

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I did not have any issues with that card. I also did not have issues with the W5500 for months.. If I think about it, and remember correctly it started when I acquired the LG monitor, but it never crossed my mind it could have anything to do with that. I might be able to test it with another 4K...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I had it crash in Windows too, just not as frequent as in MacOS. Decided to raise a ticket with AMD and will see how far I will get.. if only the RX6800 was available for a reasonable price :(

The Benq is a 2K monitor, so it might have something to do with scaling

This is the error in my system.log that occurs when this happens: com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.DumpGPURestart): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds. The system does not reboot snf looks like still running in some way because my bluetooth connection to my...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I can definitely conclude that the issue is related to the LG monitor in combination with MacOS + Radeon Pro W5500. I have been working 3 days in a row without any problems with my LG connected to the internal GPU and my Benq to the W5500. Today I switched the LG to the W5500 and within a few...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

@djlild7hina :( sorry to hear that.. I will be working in Windows today and see if it happens there, just to see if it is hardware related. I also tried setting the DP version on the monitor to 1.2 so it is not recognized as a HDR monitor anymore, but this did not help either.

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I'll cross my fingers too :).. really hoping this issue can be fixed in some way. I have an LG27UL500 monitor and a Benq PD2500Q. Would really like to keep the 4K display as the main display :). I'm not sure if I will be able to flash my bios because I have an original AMD card. Still I could...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I have this setup and have black screens: I can almost certainly confirm that I only have crashes with my LG 4k monitor. I currently have the LG 4k connected to the internal Intel GPU and the BENQ PD2500q connected to the W5500 and do not experience any crashes. Switching the LG 4k monitor to...

Thanks for your update and contribution! I took a look at your EFI and it looks really clean indeed. I adjusted it for my system and it works fine, now I will have to dig into it :), especially the SSDT USB is something I never did before. It's also nice to see Ethernet working ootb. Some...

<< Solved >> Radeon Pro W5500 Kernel Panic issues

I connected my LG 4K monitor to the internal graphics and my secondary monitor to the W5500. My system is stable until now.. where it would cause issues with the display a few times a dat when the LG 4K monitor is connected to the W5500.. I find this really strange and probably an other issue...
