Sorry to hear that! For me this fix definitely worked. My system is very stable with it. Maybe it has to do with some incompatibility with your monitor?

Installed Monterey today with the 0.7.4 EFI and I had no problems with the install. Also stability's been good for the day.

I have been using the fix from @coyzjt and did not have any crashes since. Normally it would occur multiple times a day. This look very promising! :)

That did not take long.. within an hour the system crashed after a black screen... I'm curious if the @coyzjt fix works.

My W5500 is on its way to AMD to be replaced.. in the meantime I am able to use a Asus 5500XT which works fine. It is essentially the same card I guess and probably using the same driver. The 5500XT device ID is 7430 instead of 7431 for the W5500.

@hvintik & @djlild7hina it might take a few weeks before I have the replacement card, but I certainly will report back on the vBios version. I do not know how to extract the vBios, but if you can guide me to instructions I will extract the vBios.

I did not have any issues with that card. I also did not have issues with the W5500 for months.. If I think about it, and remember correctly it started when I acquired the LG monitor, but it never crossed my mind it could have anything to do with that. I might be able to test it with another 4K...

I had it crash in Windows too, just not as frequent as in MacOS. Decided to raise a ticket with AMD and will see how far I will get.. if only the RX6800 was available for a reasonable price :(
