[Solved] GC-Alpine Ridge Thunderbolt 3 Card

I haven't seen a straight answer to this, so sorry if this has already been answered. If I install this, can I use a thunderbolt monitor?

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

I agree with calling it quits on this thread. I have a couple more questions, but I'll move those elsewhere. This thread is getting a little ridiculous. Thanks again for everything!

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

Thanks again for these. The boot drive suggestion worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, the onboard video suggestion didn't work :( I made those changes in Configurator withno success, and then also tried iMac12,2 with no success (it was defaulted to iMac14,2).

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

That makes a lot of sense. I'll give that a shot. I'm also finding that onboard video from the motherboard is still not working after installing High Sierra. Any ideas there? If it's just not supported, that's fine, too. The video card itself works fine.

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

I do have one additional question. Is there a way I can set this SSD up so that I don't need the OS install USB in the computer to boot to Mac OS?

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

Thank you! That was the tip I needed to get the rest of the way through. Turns out I needed to set a couple of other options in Configurator as well. Now everything is working really nicely. Thanks again for all your help!!

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

Thanks folks, High Sierra works with that build. I got the USB ports working via kexts, and updated to the latest version of the OS. However, video drivers still seem to be an issue. I downloaded and installed version 387.10.10.10.40.128 from the link above. It installed fine, and then I set the...

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

Thanks for the response. This is super helpful. I have more questions, if you don't mind. Do you think this current build would work for any other Mac OS? Also, I'm not seeing other parts in this build in the buyers guide. Do you think this motherboard will work in general? If so, being that...

I've attached images of my drive and its volume. Is this not the correct formatting?

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

Ah. Missed the part where that was mandatory. Apologies. I did erase the drive (not just the volume) from disk utility before posting. Also, thank you for the quick reply :)

This version of macOS 10.14.5 cannot be installed on this computer

I've tried searching here and Google in general, and haven't found this specific issue. I've followed a guide to get this far on my Mojave installation. I've formatted my SSD as extended with GUID, but when I get to this screen the SSD is grayed out and I can't get further. Any ideas what I'm...
