Just put together a new build GA-Z270-HD3, 16Gb ram, I5-7500 Kaby Lake

Used the info in the first post to adjust the clover with the recommended settings
Thanks for the advice on the first post. :headbang:
on my system, long sleep results in hibernation, which results in kernel panic, and the only wake possible is cancel hibernate wake.
nearly the same thing I suppose
Do you have an old copy of your EFI folder which worked previously? I keep an old sub key that always boots.
I remember when I was first hassling with this I had to change the system I'd to 3,1 or 5,1.
Sorry I haven't taken time to check your motherboard (I'm in between flights with...
I had the same issue (prohibited symbol) yesterday when I went to install a fresh copy of 10.11.3 onto a new SSD
The only way I was able to get around it was to install UniBeast onto a USB key then installing.
After I installed booting with UniBeast I then was able to switch back to my...
As mentioned above the nvda_drv=1 flag in your config file should help. Your screen shots are showing that it is detecting your 740 as it is on the PCIe card (2nd screen shot)
Make sure the nvidia drivers are up to date - are you using 346.03.01b07?

Thanks for your post at least I know I'm not alone :)
This works perfectly for me in Yosemite 10.10.1 after editing in accord with other posts
I have added 100268F9 to both kexts and patched the amd5000controller binary in AMD5000Controller.kext
Install both kexts to S/L/E
Hope that helps someone else too

I ended up getting both monitors to work without a hitch. The issue with the original monitor was resolved by patching my ATIController5000 and AMDRadeonX3000 kexts to include my old ASUS HD5450 signature (0x68f91002)
I have now switched to clover and was experimenting with patching the...
I managed to fix this by;
a) Using a genuine cable rather than a cheap copy.
b) Testing each usb port on the computer. I found two ports on the back of the computer which work alternatively. It some times changes between the two if i reboot the computer.
I still occasionally get a message...
Finally everything works success!!!!
All it took was a new Monitor. I purchased a 24" full HD monitor plugged it in and hey presto QE/CI sound etc etc!
