That seems to introduce more issues. The Hub is recognized as USB2.0 (although it isn't - it's a USB-C). And while the Cam Link unit is seen, I'm prompted to remove a hub and/or connect to a USB 3.0 port.
Thanks for the reply.
"Proper" 15 port limit. I'd hope so, however I'm not 10% sure they are "proper". See attached image.
Yes, the SSDT-USBX.aml is present.
Apologies if this was covered earlier in the post, I've been unable to find mention of it.
10.13.6
I'm encountering the "USB Accessory needs power" message.
In Clover (5.8.0.0), I've verified Devices/USB/Inject is selected. I've also verified the KextsToPatch string is found and replaced...
I don't anticipate doing this tomorrow, but the warnings are good to know. As you didn't mention any hardware issues, I'll assume that won't present a problem. Thanks!
I phrased that oddly, apologies. I was concerned the guide may somehow be negated due to your build.
Yeah, that procedure works like a charm. For anyone else who sees this, be sure to check out newer posts to that thread as newer OSes are missing some of the files outlined in the first guide...
The plot thickens.
Two of the several bootable options in Clover are:
"Boot macOS install from Mac OS"
and
"Boot macOS from Mac OS" (this is the volume I want to default to)
Theory: OK, it may be a case of 2 partitions with the same name. At the OS level, I changed my boot OS name from "Mac...
I tried that as well... I set it to Mac OS.
Unfortunately, that was first troubleshooting method and the same thing occurs after reboot (my partition is "Mac OS".) (M2.NVMe, FWIW). I don't suppose the Legacy dropdown needs to be set elsewhere?
Hey pastrychef , I recently had to rebuild my config.plist after a Clover update killed it, and I used your High Sierra EFI Zip file from your original post.
I've tweaked it to match my system, but I'm having a hellova time getting it to boot to the correct partition each time. it defaults to...
That's what I'm finding, and the Vega 56/64...just too old for me.
I suppose the 5700 XT is an option, but it's not that much of a performance boost from the 1070...aside from, you know, actually running in Mojave.
Maybe I'll hold out for a few months and see if the Navi cards perform well and...
Same results..."Error the version of clover-genconfig didn't match current booted clover version"
I'll have to just roll the dice and upgrade the EFI bootloader and the configurator version.
Is there a version you recommend for 10.13.6? 5.5.0.0 was the one that borked things.
Thanks again!
Thanks!
Alas, no. This is 4.61.0.0. Generating a config yields:
Error the version of clover-genconfig didn't match current booted clover version
len=2944 sizeof=3080
64 bit generator
I certainly could, but I havent found configurator 4674, and I'm not sure what earlier than 5.5.0.0 versions would be compatible. As I cant find 4674, I'm kind of gun shy to find another version that would need to rev the boot loader to be in sync...and bork the EFI folder again.
Long time no talk! I followed your guide and the system has been running wonderfully.
I recently updated Clover to 5.5.0.0 under 10.13.6. I also updated Clover on the EFI partition, and it borked the system. I used UniBeast to make a USB installer on another Mac to get back to my desktop on...
Fixed.
Booting into Clover boot screen on the boot OS and selecting the Unibeast USB stick build caused immediate reboot. However, forcing the system to boot from the USB stick in the BIOS (as opposed to at the boot OS Clover screen) got me to my desktop. I mounted the EFI partition from my...
FUBAR'd myself.
10.13.6, revved Clover at the OS level to 5070. Rebooted, and I can't get past the clover screen.
I followed the guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-clover-update-r4586-disables-os-boot-black-screen.256050/
OsxAptioFix3Drv-64 wasn't present in my...
