Massive thanks to those on this thread. For over a year I've been living with regular audio dropouts from apollo x twin, trying different settings in bios, usb configurations etc. to varying degrees of success.
Today I bought a 2626 and it works out of the box, flawlessly, with better...
Thank you. I looked all over BIOS and can't find a setting for this is it in a submenu I'm missing?
I see the BIOS settings list in the beginning of the thread and that you said to flash BIOS to f4 or newer, I only had the option to download f3 from the site
Hi,
I q-flashed bios to f3g hoping to fix my cpu spikes/audio dropouts, now I can't get past the black apple logo screen. So I q-flashed back to f2, still same result. Any ideas?
Hi, thanks. Ok I checked-all those match, other than "Luna" which I don't have and there's no UAD option in that menu for mic usage
Audio Midi - UAD thunderbolt is selected
I posted a while back in here, and got great help (thanks Casey et al!) with regard to audio dropouts with apollo x twin...when using a daw I'm pretty solid now after following usb2/3 guidelines as long as I use a high buffer, but with any streaming apps-spotify, qobuz, tidal etc., or rekordbox...
@CaseySJ you absolute legend-I went through the usb steps and I'm on a whole machine. THANK YOUUUUUUU! Sorry...but I was desperate and frustrated, you are doing god's work haha-big thanks to all who worked out that solution I had no idea wow...
Is there a list of best settings overall for bios...
Thanks. do you enable multi-processing and asio guard?
I think Casey just changed my whole world so Cubase hopefully goes back to minimal crashing. I was beta-testing studio one I think that had a lot to do with it, and it's inability to play nice with 3rd party plugins (I have 600 or...
Pre-noob if that's possible here (bought second build from same guy-first was great, i7/sierra). I've read approx 50 pages, starting from the beginning, then starting from the end back and have seen my problems referenced but no directions I could understand or follow so just thought I'd post to...
I sold my quantum–never got it to work. I got the clarett 8pre which has had some difficulties being recognized when the firmware needs to be updated, but otherwise works and sounds great.
Forgive my ignorance, is this (attached)what you mean?
the quantum is showing up consistently in windows now
just to try something, in peripherals>thunderbolt boot support
I changed "disabled" to enabled
but that didn't change anything
I bought the Startech Tb2-3 adapter (used Apple adapter with my UAD Apollo). Now the Quantum is recognized on the Windows 10 side, but not Sierra side. Pretty bummed.
I got the startech adapter, now the PC side is recognizing the quantum but not the osx side. I guess I'll go to the other thread but the guy who built the hack said not to change anything. I'm obviously clueless in this arena–haven't owned a pc since 2005
looks like I have the same setup as mike except video card. I got the quantum to work with a macbook pro, but neither windows boot drive nor sierra will recognize it with the apple tb2 cable going to apple tb3 adapter to card. I've heard that the startech adapter is required to get windows to...
