Everything boots, and runs smoothly. However, I do a lot of music composition in Logic etc., and historically have had no audio issues, even after updating to Catalina. However, since I updated my BIOS yesterday (by something like 1400 versions ...), I've started getting CPU spikes on a single core once every few minutes, sometimes faster. It's completely professionally debilitating, and I'm not sure what to do (I'm surprised I've had it working up until now). It happens even when I am just listening to iTunes, with all other apps closed.
Not sure if I'm missing a kext that I should have etc; I would be really thankful for any help or suggestions.
I am attaching my EFI, and a screenshot of Activity Monitor, Intel Power Gadget, and Logic's performance meter, all in one cap.
