This is how my customac sees the usb drive that I use for a Time Machine backup. I just won't mount the volume. Works fine in Ubuntu or Windows 10.

I should mention another thing, I've got Catalina on a Samsung EVO 970 Plus NVME SSD in an m2 slot updated to the latest firmware in Windows with the Samsung magician software.

I should also say that the disk with Catalina on it is a disk that I had a bootable clone of my Mojave drive on. I updated that with the Catalina app from the app store.

Thanks for the tip! I couldn't find an exact match for NFL 11000, but I did find other fresco logic cards that look like they might work. Like this one. And I would order it too, except that I've already ordered the Gigabyte Alpine Ridge thunderbolt three card.

Do you know of a PCI card to add USB three ports that would work here? If I can't find one I may have to get a thunderbolt adapter and see if I can run some new ports off of that.

As to this seemingly orphaned branch, I just discovered that this is where devices plugged into the USB 3.1 type C port appear.
