Corsair H70 works great for me. In Mint Debian, I can compile code with the j3 (all four cores) option and stay under 55c. I idle at around 30c. Things are a bit tight, but the case I have isn't really designed with a cooler like that in mind.

I use OS X for Eve Online and Perpetuum (via crossover games) and everything works fine. I did a comparison against Win 7, and my performance in Eve is actually better in OS X. In Win 7 I max out at about 75-80 fps, and hold steady at 40 in more intense situations. In Lion, I max at 130-140...

+1 to Carbon Copy Cloner. Format the partition that you want to move to, use CCC to backup everything to it, run multibeast and install chimera on the new drive just in case, then reboot and tell your bios to boot off of that drive. I've done it in the past that way no problem.

Worked for me as well. Thank you! Previously, just deleting the NetworkInterfaces.plist file had worked, but I had to redo my install and it didn't this time.

P8P67LE here. Had to do a clean install of 10.6.8 for some reason, then upgrade from there. A few of the new Apple installed apps didn't like running from my symlinked external partition, so I had to redo a few things and put all the stock apps on my SSD. Other than that all I needed was HDA...

You forgot MSI.

Use iboot to boot your snow leopard installation disk. Use disk utility to repair permissions. Hope and pray that that is it.

You're better off using a second drive. What happens if you have a physical drive failure with both partitions on the same drive? And yes, disk utility can format it fine for you.

My stable was running without KP, playing Portal2, WOW, Rift, and EVE with it at that speed for about 5 days, no sleep, no reboots. Honestly, above about 4.9 I didn't see any sort of performance increase to justify that much of an OC. I'm sure the fact that my H70 seems to keep my CPU below...

I've gotten mine as high as 5.5, stable, but I had to do a lot more messing around with voltage than I was comfortable with.

It's not too loud. Under full load you can hear it spin up a bit, but it's no whirlwind loud or anything like that. A HDMI-DVI adapter should work, but I don't know for sure. I've only used the DVI port on mine.

I'm going to throw a wrench in the gears, and suggest that, if you want a 5770, you might want to look at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127490. It's the same card I have, and I had no trouble getting it setup with GE=yes. 64 bit works, steam works. Portal 2 pushes 90+fps...
