Hey tsgxwolf!
I have the same machine as laelsirus, but on github it doesn't look like a fully developed instruction. Could you please provide a small how-to for those who are not that experienced? Is it the default OpenCore method?
Thanks, karoli
I didn't use the front panel and it still worked flawlessly for many hours of usage, sleep cycle and reboots. It is not needed after dismissing the error message. Of course after having this blinking amber LED error code, I immediately connected the front panel and...nothing happened :/

I switched the CPU cooler to Scythe Katana 3. Well, it wasn't easy :D If anyone is interested in changing the CPU cooler I can tell how. But I left the case fan untouched. The original Dell case should have two case fans for MUCH BETTER cooling, but it doesn't. That is why I packed the guts of...
Hi!
I wish I could, but I sold the machine.
1. I took back the GTX 970 because of the fan making awful noises above 60% rpm and Gigabyte sent me a brand new 1060 6 GB :D
2. I put the Dell's parts into a different PC case (super silent) and it worked very well. I took out the GTX 970 because of...

At least +20-30 fps, or constant 60 fps in certain games in "Ultra" settings. I bought the MWE 450 (thought it was the same as the MasterWatt, but I missed it :D), it is totally silent in my case. In Hungary it cost about 47 USD, the MasterWatt is much more expensive. It will be in my Nanoxia...
I sold the HP to my brother :) And you were right, the USB 2.0 ports started working on the 3rd try. I started again from scratch, strangely the resolution was waaaaay low, much lower than before and later on it got better during the installation. This motherboard is changeful sometimes :D
3rd gen Core i processors are still awesome, especially the i7-3770, it is still a beast. I had HP Elite 8300 SFF, 8000 USDT all great little machines. I didn't want all the hassle searching a 7 series used motherboard, so this Dell is perfect for the project. I am grateful for your thread!
That's right, I wanted to upgrade from the 1050 Ti 4GB LP to something beefier. First I opted for a discontinued model, a Xigmatek Centauro S 500W 80+ Bronze. But something was wrong with it as I couldn't turn it off with the switch on it :D No matter if it was on or off, the Dell turned on...
Okay, I'll start rebooting continuously (max. 20 times, then I try the kext thing) :D One thing is for sure, the mouse and the keyboard gets current, the LEDs are glowing.
The PSU...that was the only cause I switched. Well, one of two, the second was your excellent thread :)
Machine I have: Dell Optiplex 7010 MT, i7-3770 CPU, 12 GB RAM, Gigabyte GTX 970 OC GPU.
I did this installation on my previous HP Elite 8300 SFF, without problems.
But now I am totally clueless.
1. I set up the UEFI
2. Created the installer with Unibeast (for 10.13.6)
3. Booted into the...
I am on APFS and works flawlessly.
@trs96 my previous mysterious lags (Sierra) are gone in High Sierra, the machine is working 24/7, super stable.
I was using Avira Antivirus for many years on different OS's, but on this particular one it caused huge delays in playing videos in Plex or VLC...
I am using a GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB LP version, which is the most powerful in this size. Using it for Adobe PS under macOS (color settings [the ease of implementing calibrated ICC profiles] are way better) and for gaming under Windows (1080p Ultra/High [Steam] gaming baby :D).

It is quite easy to swap the two connectors, you don't need skills, but a pointed edge tweezer (or anything slick and pointed). You should watch tutorial videos on YouTube.
What was the exact procedure? How did you prepare the installer (I assume the RehabMan way)? In the end NVS is working with this build or only the Optimus disabled iGPU version? What BIOS/UEFI settings were used?
