OK. I tried to go back to High Sierra. But it seems I have the same issue.
I took off the Nvidia graphic card, plugged the monitor to the HDMI output of the motherboard and tried again with High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina but somehow I never make it to the clover bootscreen.
I must be doing...
...What am I doing wrong?
I need to complete a new install. I updated my old Sierra configured PC from 2016 with a new SSD M.2 since my HD let me down.
Configuration:
Asus Z170-P
Intel i7-6700k CPU 4.00 Ghz
16Go DDR4
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
This should remain largely sufficient for music...
Thanks for the tips, guys.
Yeah, that's true that choosing the case is kinda hard to do. They all seem so equivalent. I'll check it out though.
Thanks for all the other practical advices. Do you mean the "+" pattern is more adapted to quad core PCU's like the i7 6700k??
Thank you Pastrychef! Finally getting there. Haha
Good to know. :) Then I think I have all I need for the build and will order all of this next weekend!
Are there any useful build guides on this forum you would recommand? Haven't had time to check it out yet.

One last question though... It's my first build. Do I need more accessories for the build than this? For instance thermic glue for the processor, specific screwdrivers, PCI accessories... ???
Thank you all of you for the useful input. I read and checked all of this information.
I switched to a ATX mobo, changed the cooler and went for a different PSU.
ZDigital2015, thank you for the detailed build. I've checked it. By the way, it's mainly for 1080p editing. But I don't want to feel...
Thank you, Pastrychef.
1. Would you advise a specific graphics card?
2. I had a look at some other options for a motherboard then. But I have no idea what to do since I can't find details about how many PCI-e slots the motherboards feature. I'll actually need 3 PCI-e slots I think: graphics...
Interesting config dbfeenix! But a bit expensive if I may.
Are you sure 32Go RAM are needed?
I'm myself currently trying to gather a good config for audio recording and audio editing at a very good price.
Here's what I gathered for a lower price, including a solid state drive and a hard drive...
Hi everyone,
I'm completely new here. So since it's my first post, I wanna start by thanking Tony and you all for creating this great community and for spreading the knowledge.
I've got a friend who's owned a hackintosh for about 4 years now. He could not be happier with the thing. So since my...
