...What am I doing wrong?

I need to complete a new install. I updated my old Sierra configured PC from 2016 with a new SSD M.2 since my HD let me down.

Configuration:
Asus Z170-P
Intel i7-6700k CPU 4.00 Ghz
16Go DDR4
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960

This should remain largely sufficient for music production and a bit of video prod. However I can't reach the Clover boot screen.

I followed precisely all instructions (or so I thought). Especially paid attention to those:

  1. To access BIOS/UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up
  2. Load Optimized Defaults
  3. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it
  4. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it
  5. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it
  6. Set OS Type to Other OS
  7. If your system has IO Serial Port, disable it
  8. Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled
  9. If you have a 6 series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0
  10. Save and exit.

Except for No7, it's all there and confirmed.

What am I missing? Can somebody help me? I feel like I'm failing at complete noob level. Haha

    Thank you.

What am I missing?
There are no Catalina drivers for your GTX 960.

So simple. Damn. Thank you.

What about Mojave?

OK. Just read it. Neither does Mojave. Thank you again. Will simple stay on Sierra until I wanna make budget for it.

OK. I tried to go back to High Sierra. But it seems I have the same issue.

I took off the Nvidia graphic card, plugged the monitor to the HDMI output of the motherboard and tried again with High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina but somehow I never make it to the clover bootscreen.

I must be doing something wrong. I feel completely lost. It's so frustrating. Any advice please? Thank you.
