Weird, no more problem today after I've changed 2 things in my clover config.plist:
-Changed my Mac definition to iMac 13,2 with Clover Configurator doing test with handoff (careful, this will break a working iMessage and FaceTime)
-Uncheck Inject Intel in Clover Configurator as I'm...
I also have the same problem with Safari.
I thought it was my nVidia card that cause this, because I've reenabled it thursday with HDMI audio.
I was running with my HD 3000 since then without hicups.
I've received my new wifi+bluetooth card for Continuity, so I've upgraded to 10.10.1...
I've found that you can also "revert" the logical volume and Core Storage using a simple command:
diskutil cs revert UUID
where you replace UUID by your Logical Volume UUID. "diskutil list" will give you the UUID
I'm also running Clover now, pretty much perfect now but I find it a...
I've found that it's possible to revert the Logical Volume to a standard partition without losing content!
After Yosemite installation, when you reboot using Unibeast key, open a terminal.
Type: diskutil list
You will find the Logical Volume UUID, in my case...
The link is ok now.
corbywan, I'm curious! Can you post the result of "diskutil cs list" from your computer with HDD?
Still trying to figure out what's different with my setup, but I like the EFI solution.
I am now able to boot on the SSD by using the EFI partition for the boot loader and /Extra folder:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-support/144174-ssd-not-recognized-bootable-after-install-3.html
After the manual installation of the boot loader with fdisk and dd, I was able to boot on the SSD with a text version of Chimera.
The only option I had was -v which started to boot in verbose but failed because I was missing FakeSMC and other component. All other options (-x, -x -v, gave me...
Ok, I'm now able to boot on my SSD!
First, I use Multibeast with Non-DSDT as usual so I can have all I need in /System/Library/Extensions and /Extra.
Second, I use the 200MB EFI partition to boot and install Chimera as described in this guide...
From the outputs of diskutil, the physical volume is always the slice 2 of the drive (ex: disk0s2) which makes sense.
I'm a unix admin for a few years now and the slice 2 on Solaris and other UNIX based OS is most of the time equivalent to the whole disk.
Maybe we need to install boot loader...
Our problem is just after the installation of Yosemite, even before Multibeast installation.
We are unable to reboot using Unibeast and choosing our fresh install to boot.
Need to chose the boot on the installer itself again and it seems to detect that I have a Logical Volume setup and let...
Only have one SSD drive plugged in.
Thanks for the Trim hint, I normally use Trim Enabler from Cindori software. I will try it as soon as I'm able to boot directly from my SSD.
Still searching for a fix...

drboom22, can you add the result of "diskutil cs list" also?
If someone can post the commands result from a fully working hackintosh, that would be great.
Just to compare if the ones that work correctly are also reporting CoreStorage infos.
I don't use Raid or Fusion drive but I think they also use the CoreStorage volume manager.
I only have a single SSD drive.
Looks like there something wrong for some of us here with the error "Can't Find /system/Library/Kernels/kernel". (again, there is no "mach" in the error message I...
Same situation here.
Yosemite use CoreStorage for my Crucial M4 SSD and use Logicial Volume.
I guess that it is what is different from the standard partitioning in Mavericks.
Do you also have a "raid" icon while booting from USB on your SSD installation?
I see that many people have the...
I also have a "raid" icon in Chimera using USB.
Chimera did not install correctly to be able to boot my SSD. (was working fine in Mavericks)
The partition on my SSD is now a Logical volume (CoreStorage), I guess that's why Chimera won't install correctly and partition is seen as a raid.
I...
Shinji3rd, you're right, everything isn't perfect.
You provide a good resume of the situation but I can't tell about the temperature.
I can now turn my monitor on and off without freeze, but I have to do one or two reboot per day.
I'll keep watching the thread hoping for another solution...
