    BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

BitterMelon or anyone else who did the upgrade... was your iMessages working prior to the upgrade? And after? Thank you.

    BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

Just reporting in that I have this same setup almost verbatim (with eVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST) and Mavericks is running great on it. Only issue was iMessages not activating (never had this problem before), but the FileNVRAM-1.1.2 fix worked perfectly.

ALC898 audio dropouts on rear jack only

Wow, great data points. Since I'm only using a 2.1 system, I was hoping I could move the audio back to the rear... not sure if I did this right, but I had HDAEnabler1.kext and HDAEnabler2.kext in my S/L/E dir and deleted HDAEnabler2.kext from there. Still having dropouts on the rear jack.

ALC898 audio dropouts on rear jack only

FWIW, I've been having dropouts since Day 1 of running Mountain Lion (see here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/74916-ga-b75m-d3p-audio-skipping.html) Yes, I know. Not the same board. Not even the same audio chip. I've just been dealing with it (tried every possible Audio MIDI combo)...

Running 2560x1440 out the Displayport on my GA-B75M-D3P via HD4000. It's quite nice. :)

    GA-B75M-D3P Audio Skipping

Thanks, wildwillow. Cycled through every possible combination of frequency and rate and still have skipping present... will press on!

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Thanks, moarfish. I tried each of them one at a time without any luck (either no audio, low volume/choppy/static, or kernel panic on boot). Not sure what to try next...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

I hate to drag my problem into this thread, but are there any other GA-B75M-D3H/GA-B75M-D3P owners experiencing intermittent audio skipping (fully outlined here): http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/74916-ga-b75m-d3p-audio-skipping.html Thanks for looking. :)

    GA-B75M-D3P Audio Skipping

Background: This is my 2nd Hackintosh (1st one was a bulletproof install of 10.6.8, but all fingers pointed toward building a new one to start using my pretty new 27" ACD) Wanted as few headaches as possible so bought the following from the Custo2012 Guide: Intel Core i3-3225 GA-B75M-D3P...

Apple 24" LED Cinema Display (Mini-DisplayPort) scrambled video on boot

BOOM. Fixed it. Gotta add the Graphics Mode lines to your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist so Chameleon boots at full res. No more garbled screen at the login prompt.

Apple 24" LED Cinema Display (Mini-DisplayPort) scrambled video on boot

Sorry, no solution here, but I have the exact same issue verbatim... only difference is 27" ACD using Mini Displayport into the Intel HD4000 graphics (latest Mountain Lion). I will post any of my findings and I hope you do the same. :)

Mac OS X 10.6.8 Supplemental Update (and Combo Update v1.1)

Did the update. As expected, system rebooted fine and only the audio was missing. Just like when I did the combo update for 10.6.8 from 10.6.3, ran AppleHDARollback from MultiBeast then installed GigabyteALC888b.kext and HDAEnabler.kext with Kext Helper. Rebooted and everything came up fine.

[CLOSED] Adding ATI card IDs to Chimera 1.5 ATI.c

Re: Adding ATI card IDs to ATI.c - update (10-May) Howdy: Framebuffer trouble with my Sapphire 5770 (100283-3L)... my system runs pretty well, nice and stable, seems like it has proper graphics acceleration in games, and honestly, I can probably stop now and be happy. However, the default...

    Batmobile Alternatives?

Prior to the 5770 (was using a 3yr old low end card previously), the game only ran at the lowest detail level in Win7. Never even bothered trying in OSX. It's now running in "Extreme" with the Sapphire 5770 card (even with my Q6600). Awesome! I'll keep this in mind, but note that I'm...

    Batmobile Alternatives?

Wow, that sucks (or blows?). I got impatient and picked up the Sapphire 100283-3L from a local shop earlier today. Runs fine on the Windows side, fan is quiet, and now I can play SC2 in "Extreme" mode. :D I gotta back up the OSX side before I even attempt getting all that jazz to work...

    Batmobile Alternatives?

So I'm running a Gigabyte G31M-ES2L and was looking for a new graphics card to play Starcraft 2 in a detail level higher than the bare minimum (I hear all your sighs but at least I'm being honest). I like picking up stuff that'll be minimal fuss so I figured the Gigabyte 5770 Batmobile card...
