    i75930k + GA-X99-UD3P + GTX 980ti + 32GB RAM [Success]

Trying to get a similar build running with a GA-X99-UD3P, GTX 980 and an i75820k. I can't seem to get into the installer to start the install though... i've tried with/without the VoodooTSCSync.kext and boot flags of '-v npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1' as well as other combinations but nothing...

    GTX 780 Ti

What OS are you running? I believe Mavericks is a *must*. So, if you update to both the latest Mavericks 10.9.3 as well as the latest Web Drivers (334.01.01f01) you should be good. Note - you have to use install the Web Drivers and hit the check the radio button in the NVIDIA Driver Manager...

Latest OS X 10.9.2 Update Breaks NVIDIA Alternate Driver

for those who manually changed their version number in the SystemVersion.plist , simply change the version number back to '13C1021' before running the WebDriver-331.01.01f04 package. Otherwise it will say your system version is incompatible and you won't be able to install. No other issues for...

Latest OS X 10.9.2 Update Breaks NVIDIA Alternate Driver

Ahh, forgot about the drive mounting thing.. I use Macdrive - http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive Paragon would work as TonyMac mentioned. Both have free trials. I just happened to come across MacDrive 1st.

Latest OS X 10.9.2 Update Breaks NVIDIA Alternate Driver

I had the same problem thinking a security update wouldn't affect graphics driver. Don't worry, there's an easy fix - change the version number back to '13C64' in /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist . you'll prolly want to make a copy of that file just in case (no idea what but it's...

Whats the story with 780ti these days? (in a nutshell) for simple use?

Correct, you must use the web drivers (by ticking the radio box in NVIDIA preference pane).

Whats the story with 780ti these days? (in a nutshell) for simple use?

no boot flags, just GraphicsEnabler "no" in my org.chameleon.Boot.plist . My card is definetly a Rev B card as well. I'll post what's in there at the end of this actually just in case you're missing something somehow. The 'nvda_drv=1' key is added automatically to the .plist when you tick the...

Whats the story with 780ti these days? (in a nutshell) for simple use?

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.2 with an MSI GTX 780Ti GAMING using the latest NVIDIA web drivers and CUDA drivers without any issues. Just make sure you select the 'NVIDIA Web Driver' radio button under the 'Graphics Drivers' section of the NVIDIA Driver Manager preference pane. Acceleration and all...

Nvidia Releases Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Graphics Drivers

Article: Nvidia Releases Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Graphics Drivers I was having the same gray screen issue when i booted and "resolved" it by doing the following from my forum post here - http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/74654-three-monitor-setup-working-latest-nvidia-drivers-2.html#post464404...

Three Monitor Setup Working with latest Nvidia Drivers

In case anyone else runs into a similar problem, i drilled down my gray screen hang as far as i can go -- both GeForceGLDriver.bundle and GeForce.kext or either individually from the new 304.00.05f02 mpkg seem to be the issue. Why, i have no idea, but the rest of the new mpkg work just fine with...

Three Monitor Setup Working with latest Nvidia Drivers

pain in the butt, but finally got 3 monitors working. What worked was the 4 NVDA*.kext's from 304.00.05f02 Web Release.mpkg along with the 4 GeForce items (1 kext, 3 bundles) from the previous driver release. I first tried just the just the GeForce.kext which worked for 3 monitors, however, i...

Three Monitor Setup Working with latest Nvidia Drivers

same here, though i could boot into safe mode. Also, in safe mode i did have 3 (out of 3) working monitors. just -v, verbose boot went to the grey screens as well, so that told me nothing. I rolled the driver kext's back (and not the newest Cuda) and all is well again. Will have to try some...

    GTX680 works in OS X

hrmn, I'm a bit confused. is there anything wrong with 680's reporting as GTX 680 and not gk104? From what i've seen it seems the 670's report as gk104 as apposed to the 680's reporting as just a GTX 680. Even though they both are gk104 anways, either would be correct. My Gigabyte OC 680...

Time for a new graphics card, sugestions welcome

why downgrage when Moungain Lion is just around the corner? jk, i know you meant ML (10.8) ;) and i'd also recommend a 670 since they will work OOB with ML. I have a 680 which i'm quite happy with but if you want to save the ~$100 dollars, a 670 is very nice indeed. 670's also seem to be...

    GTX680 works in OS X

he was referring to a GTX 680, the 670's seem to be more "compatible" with the MBP update and in general. I'm not sure we've seen much success on 10.7.4 with updated drivers (?). unless… if you're on 10.7.4 or earlier, any more info on how you did it?
