Hi @Sdese. Can you explain a couple of things in your EFI?
1. What have you changed in DSDT? My audio is really unstable and looks like this is the only relevant difference from my setup.
2. How do you regulate keyboard backlight? F7 does not work.
Thanks!
Thanks! For me it was a hidden apfs_module_start issue as well.
I've double checked the things you mentioned, but the problem was with AWAC clock, see #8 here. Fixed by adding SSDT-AWAC.
Oh no! Looks like khalidthami's posts are gone! Can anyone share khalidthami's recent EFIs?
What happened to this thread, where did all the good stuff go?...
Remove SSDT_UIAC and USBPorts.kext from CLOVER, add USBInjectAll.kext and carefully follow instructions (first icon on your screenshot). Bluetooth is port HS10 for me
In the end click export (rightmost icon) and replace USBInjectAll with generated USBPorts in Clover. SSDT is not required...
OMG, this is amazing! Thank you for continuing to work on this.
This totally sidesteps the audio issues (BTW, any luck with HDMI Audio or generic Windows drivers?)
Webcam does not work?
(Sorry for so many questions, fell out of a loop for a while)
Maybe your version uses different layout?
I use kubuntu 19.10. I've seen some discussion of a bug with our codec on Linux, try newer version.
Thanks for the link, that didn't work. But my sound doesn't break after sleep so that's good
Yep, same as you. I've successfully followed that guide...
Can anybody please explain how you got the working values for HDMI (pipe, bus id)? Thanks.
P.S. I've attached my current folder if anyone wants it. Config is pretty clean. Keyboard backlight is not working because I never use it.
I can get my audio to work (with caveats). I use AppleALC with layout 21, no CodecCommander
Here is the problem, though: rebooting to Windows always breaks audio. After booting back to macOS there is no audio output (can still change volume, plugging/unplugging audio jack is recognized). One...
Thanks Middleman!
Unfortunately, before I could try your suggestion my system drive failed. After restoring from backup to a new drive, I was able to update using /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --converttoapfs NO
So successful update at a price...
I'm trying to do a direct upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra (no APFS). Boot into the installer fails with "Still waiting for root device" error.
I've searched around the forum and usually this error is linked with USB 3 support, but I do not use a flash drive and my mb does not even have USB...
