Yep it works in windows.
Also it works on 10.13.4 - which i am still running.
One issue I have on 10.13.4: I have to disconnect the LG5k before boot, and then connect it after logging in (this prevents black screen). Other than that it still works perfectly.
After upgrading to 10.3.5 +...
I have collected some logs while connecting & disconnecting the LG 5k.
Also it seems that Macos can see the display; it is clear that the machine switches from 1 display to using 2 displays. Also in System info i can see the LG 5k.
However the LG5k stays black, the backlight doesn't even seem...
Thanks for updating aerror!
Unfortunately no luck so far; I've upgraded to 10.13.5, and the LG 5k stays with a black screen (with the new NvidiaGraphicsFixup)
Should the new NvidiaGraphicsFixup kext work with together the CoreGraphicsFixup, Lilu and boot params attached in your first post?
It seems like it doesn't work yet on 10.13.5.
I tried upgrading to 10.13.5 yesterday, and I couldn't get the LG5k to work as a second display.
The issues i noticed: the hackintosh frooze, and the LG5k backlight doesn't activate at all, it just stays black.
In macos logs I found a bunch of...
Update: latest webdriver 387.10.10.10.30.106 for 10.13.4 works really great, all of the reported graphics issues are solved (lags / artifacts in some apps)
However, the NGFixLG5K by aerror doesn't work for me anymore with this new version, so I cant connect my LG5K anymore :/
The newest Nvidia webdriver 387.10.10.10.30.106 solves all lag issues.
Anyone knows a way to get the LG 5k working with this new driver?
UPDATE: i just tried connecting the screen again today, and it seems to work (sometimes)
Here’s an interesting post about a fix added to NvidiaGraphicsFixup:

I’m interested to see if this fixes the webgl demo stutters
As reported before, i’m also seeing regular mini-freezes / lags in the UI on a Gigabyte gtx 1080 ti.
I've attached a video of the webgl water demo.
Extra info:
- Coffeelake i7 8700k , Gigabyte AORUS Gaming 7 mobo
- Note that the video is based with webdriver .104 (the latest nvidia webdriver...
The webgl demo makes the stutter very visible but I see it in the UI too (like when opening folders from the Dock)
Here’s a topic with more people reporting on this issue: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/gtx-1060-performance-on-10-13-high-sierra.236962/page-22
Thank you, that worked
I have only one issue with my current set up, there is a short lag/freeze every second :(
Not sure what is the reason.
You can test it with http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/
I have described the issue here, including a video of the WebGL demo...
just saw the vid, it looks like there are random freezes/stutter every second?
i'm having the same issue on my nvidia+coffeelake hackintosh, but on a macbook pro the 'webgl water' demo is 100% smooth
Just FYI: i had extreme lags and stutters with the latest NVIDIA webdriver, but its running much more smoothly with the previous version of the webdriver (still have those random micro pauses / lags though)
Just sharing my experience.
The latest web driver had really bad performance for me;
System:
Gigabyte aorus gaming 7
i7 8700k
gigabyte 1080ti
gc-alpine-ridge
dual monitor setup
Downgrading to 378.10.10.10.25.106 improved performance a lot, but I still have microstutter/lag occurring about every...
