to sort of append this thread... this isn't my first (or second, for that matter) hack
i just received a brand new lenovo yoga 710 15IKB.
following the laptop instructions:
create USB installer, add clover, configure as noted.
add fakepciid kext, use stock hd620 config.plist

thanks to everybody who has helped me get my hack up and running. it's been a wonderful journey, and things have been great since 10.10.

i was able to restore the clover resolution to...
i know this thread is old, but i just thought i'd add (in case googlers find it)
i've successfully had mavericks running on my b540 with no qe/ci and voodoohda for sound.
it wasn't a remarkable experience, however it allowed me to put together software packages for my other hack at the time.
i tried the asus first and experienced the same thing. everything paired once, then failed and never worked again.
i have the cirago, and it works perfectly, except it doesn't pair at EFI level so i have to use a wired board for clover.

I loaded that same image I took, and it looks cruddy still. oddly, internet explorer and everything looks way better, but now under close scrutiny, I must admit the windows graphics aren't perfect either...
