Hello,
So most everything on my Hack is working. I used piker alphas ssdtprgen script and generated an ssdt. I placed the generated script in acpi/patched. The system worked fine before the SSDT now it gives me the prohibited sign. Can someone help me out with a working ssdt for a i7 6700k on a...
Ok. I've tried that but I guess I'll have to install it manually. If I run multibeast it doesn't seem to rename HDAS to HDEF. Is there something I'm not doing right?
I've attempted to follow Toleda's guide but I'm uncertain what I should do now.I have a gigabyte z170xp-sli with an 1150 alc codec. It seems no matter what I try it will not work. I have attached a screenshot of what happens when I run IOReg. HDAS is present. Then I get confused on what the next...
Brebo:
Thanks so much. DVMT was set to 32MB in BIOS. Changed to 128MB added FakeID flag and it booted right in! Will get those kexts installed soon.
Thanks!
Ok I'm gonna try that tonight if I get time. I've never done this before. Is this just a matter of locating the video memory setting in BIOS and adjusting it or does it involve patching the BIOS?
Hello,
So i got thru the MacOS Sierra Install ok. After it installs it says the computer is restarting. I boot to clover screen and select my Sierra drive. I followed the MacOS Sierra guide on this site and also followed carlosvpp guide for this install as he has the same motherboard as i do...
On the note of wifi cards.....why does the buyers guide say one thing and the link to Amazon isn't the same? The fenvi t919 card is the recommended card yet it's not the one the link sends you to. Maybe the description could be updated? I was a little disappointed when my card came and it didn't...
Ok thank you. Yes I got the two antenna version. I don't use Bluetooth now cause my Hack doesn't have support for it. I guess I won't miss it if I don't have it now either.
So I ordered and received the network card that's listed in the buyers guide for wifi. Does it offer Bluetooth support? It doesn't say it does not it's and it's not the fenvi t919 card so I'm a little confused. The link in the buyers guide doesn't bring up a card that looks like the one in the...
Uh....Did you check out the guides tab of this site? Follow those instructions, then if you have issues post your questions in the appropriate area of the forum. You could also check out the user builds section an see if you can find someone whose got the same hardware you do. If you need help...
Ok thanks for the input. Is there a good comparable Asus board in the 100-120 usd range that would compare to the gigabyte z170xp-sli?
I haven't bought the gigabyte yet but I've never bought a board so I guess it's just a matter of choosing one now. I don't have an experience with any board...
Anyone have an opinion on the Gigabyte z170xp-sli or the Gigabyte z170x ud3? I'm not stuck on Gigabyte if someone has a better idea. I chose Gigabyte for two reasons: 1. it seems to be fairly easy to use on a hackintosh and 2. the BIOS seems fairly easy to work with. I'm probably overthinking...
Try choosing from the components for the customac budget ATX build on the buyers guide page. It should do what you want to do quite nicely and still leave some room for upgrades later.
Ok. Well I'd start by choosing which type of processor you want. Personally I'd go with an i7. My build is not together yet but I've got a i7 6700k that will go with a gigabyte z170xp-sli motherboard. Given that your using creative suite you'll probably want a dedicated GPU. Im not sure which...
Well for starters you might should post what your wanting to do with your hackintosh. There's tons of hardware located on this site under the buyers guide tab. It's hard to cast recommendations when there's no more information than you provided. If your doing video editing etc the requirements...
