Hey, Thanks! I thought it was in there, but I guess I accidentally deleted it. Too many boot-arg's in there! No difference, but it'll probably help if/when I finally get this all sorted out!
interesting...but unfortunately, it seems to affect both monitors (one is a 27" BenQ and the other a 34" Asus ultrawide). I guess it could be that my machine hates both monitors...
Hackintool is all I've been playing with these past couple of days. I've got the monitor working, but only if I disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable. Pretty sure I have all those suggestions enables. But I'll have to check again to be sure.
This is the first time I've had HDMI issues, but I guess it's because I've either always had a GPU or was just plain lucky. The monitor(s) work perfectly fine after I giggle the cable to disconnect and connect it....ugh...I guess I just have to be patient until I can find an AMD card that's...
Tried it, and it kinda worked! The HDMI monitor now works...but only if I unplug and replug the HDMI cable (after restart and sleep). I made sure my FramebufferID was correct, I went through and tried changing the BusID to every combination that I could, but none of them fixed the problem. I...
Thanks, I saw that guide awhile back, but the GUI being completely different in the current hackintool threw me off. I'm looking at it now and I still can't really navigate it right. Though I'm wondering if those predefined connector patches would work for me, I see that all the Asus patches...
So Let me just start off by saying that I've had this issue since I built this machine on Catalina. I have combed the internet trying to find answers with ZERO luck. I have also posted on here back in November asking for help, with ZERO responses as well. So here I am again. Hopefully, someone...
so when you say you can boot from the USB disk, do you mean that you can and have installed MacOS? And am I to assume that when you say pages of text, do you mean you have verbose turned on?
Also is this installer USB thumbstick something you made with Unibeast or Opencore?
LASTLY, you need to...
Yeah seems like we're not gonna get any answers here.
I'm pretty sure we have different issues if yours turns off right after picking the installer though. Have you successfully gotten through the install process? Or are you stuck trying to boot from the USB Stick?
BTW: You need to fix the...
Small update if anyone sees this: I mapped my USB ports and now HDMI no longer mirrors the DisplayPort. HDMI doesn't do anything anymore, nothing happens on startup. No signal at all.
I deleted USBPorts-All.kext and added my USBmap.kext. Nothing else has been changed.
EDIT: For fun, I added...
TL;DR: PLEASE HELP! MY HDMI TURNS OFF DURING BOOT. I BELIEVE IT IS SOMETHING IN MY CONFIG
I installed Catalina 10.15.7 with Opencore, everything works great except that the HDMI connection craps out during boot up. I am using two monitors, one connected through DisplayPort and the other with...
This is off the current High Sierra topic, but I just wanted to ask you guys if sleep and shut down is working as they should in Sierra for you guys, or if it's just me. I had given up on this mobo about 6 months ago. Mainly because I couldn't, for the life of me, get it to shut down or sleep...
EDIT: never mind, this thumb drive works, so I guess it’s all there. I’ll leave this here in case anyone ever has the same question...unless some thinks I should delete, in which case, I will.
I tried googling this but came up with nothing.
Does anyone else have this issue when setting up the...
Yeah, was saving that for last, but I guess I'll have to do that now....Just spent the last hour reading through RehabMan's detailed Guide. my brain hurts, bad!
Will report back after its done. Thanks again for your support!
No, Im using the latest one that I downloaded from Apple. I thought the one in Toleda's post was old. I just downloaded it, here is the ioreg from that version:
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look into whats happening. I think I got confused about the ig-platform-id when I was looking through your guide. It started out with 0x19120001, then I changed it to 0x19120000, and then removed it altogether. Then to 0x59120003 and then I think I removed...
