Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ ,

Yes it is all from the same test machine still. Done. Here's the IOReg file with both ssdt's enabled.

Doing so has fixed the Thunderbolt hot plug in the motherboard ports.

I've noticed occasionally on booting that the GC Titan ridge card won't recognize the Lynx cards in the sound settings, even though it shows the LT - TB is connected in system settings. Only way to get it to activate in sound settings is to restart in that instance.

Small issue but let me know if anything looks wonky in the file. Thank you for taking the time.

@etorix - Thank you for the info, that definitely helps!

Thanks,

Unfortunately I still have the same problem after many attempts.

Perhaps I should try a fresh install to a new SSD from USB stick.
If it works for you let me know. I've now gotten my USB install epic to your exact spot also.

Hi, @CaseySJ! I try to "See this post for a detailed explanation of the SIP bit flags." but the link is broken. Thanks!

Had the very same problem trying install fresh from USB.

I have now given up for the time being.

Hi all, Hi @CaseySJ :)
I unfortunately need to reinstall Windows 10 as it's no longer working.
All the "warnings" mentioned in post one are still valid or the latest developments on our hackintosh are less demanding?
Unpluging all Disks where are installed macOS (Catalina to Sonoma for me...) means I have to dismantled everything to remove the SSDs...
Thanks for your advice.
Cheers,
Mac

Windows 11 is better behaved in that it installs fine with macOS drives present. I have not done a Windows 10 installation in quite some time, but it’s perfectly okay to run the installer even with macOS drives. If the Windows 10 installer reaches a certain point and throws an error message, then it means we should disconnect all macOS drives and try the installer again.

That is odd. Are you using gibMacOS to download macOS, then using the “createinstallmedia” command in Terminal?

If you see a boot option called macOS Installer, it's likely from a previously started upgrade that did not succeed. So we should boot into macOS itself and start the upgrade again. The existing "macOS Installer" will then be replaced with a new one.
I've got this issue now. do I just do a reinstall from the USB stick?
