[Success] Lenovo M93p, M73p "Tiny" mini PC i5 4570t, i7 4765t Yosemite-Catalina

Hi,
Not sure why my ip got banned after posting in this thread. I'm genuinely interested in solving an issue with my Lenovo M93p tiny which i use for listening to music & youtube. I worked on getting the EFI together and booted but the sound is buzzing real bad and wanted to figure if someone has same issue or there something about my lenovo's hardware. I would appreciate it if i would be informed of why my main ip got banned. Not sure if i broke a rule that i'm not aware of. Thank you!

Hello.

Without seeing your EFI folder and config.plist we can't easily diagnose the problem.

Did you follow the guide in the first post of this thread?

AppleALC.kext should be used (latest) and the Audio-ID that was used was "66"

The other possible codes are given on the AppleALC dev web-site:

ALC283.jpg

Buzzing can be caused by mouse movement, but if it is constantly occuring then something else is amiss.

So first off double-check your Audio-ID setting. Reset NVRAM and reboot to see if that helps.

If not ...

ZIP and upload your EFI after having first blanked your serial-number for privacy.

:)

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to reply! i'm replying now from a VPN as i can't access the site from my ip. I think i was using Firefox private browsing when this happened. Not sure how i can resolve this.

Thanks.

Well it looks mostly good.

One thing I noticed was that you are using a different SSDT.aml to the original one posted by @Gigamaxx . This is code related to power management of the CPU. As you have the same CPU I would have thought you would use the same SSDT. Is this new one something you created yourself?

I followed the guide an tried to install Catalina on m93p, whatever i do i still get this error. an error occurred while preparing the installation... Any suggestions what can i do (i have i7 version of m93p)?

What kind of drive are you using for the macOS install ? Did you format it APFS first ? GUID partition ?
