Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Hi!
I have a little problem.I'm using OC 0.8.3; BIOS F6 and Monterey last version.
I discovered that my NVMe disk is very slow. Under Big Sur Blackmagic disk speed test told me a speed of about 3000 MB/s. now speed fall down to about 60MB/s...
Could anyone help me?
Some questions:
  • What is the make/model of the NVMe SSD?
  • How much free space is left?
  • Is the drive properly cooled? Is there a thermal pad applied to its surface?

Seems like Aperture size only exists if CPU have internal graphics and internal graphics is enabled, but aren't we suppose to disable internal graphic when using the iMac pro or Mac Pro profile ?
I'm not sure it's tied to iGPU. Aperture size has been around since before integrated graphics. In our case, it's tied to Re-size bar from what I could tell - discrete graphics.

-wegnoigpu flag disables the iGPU. I'm not sure it's tied to sys profile but more so the actual CPU. Maybe @CaseySJ can comment.

In order
Western Digital WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe™ SSD
about 150 Gb free on 500
Yes, drive is cooled properly; temperature is about 38° celsius

Let's try unchecking NVMeFix.kext as shown. Then reboot and test disk speed.

Greetings all! I was finally able to get a USB installer created and bootable, and when I attempt to install Ventura, I seem to be stuck on the progress bar screen as shown, and it hasn't moved... AT ALL.

v22 bios
12th gen i9
64GB RAM
WD 500GB nvme
ATI 6650 graphics

What other info can I provide here to expedite a potential fix for this? I tried to follow all of the instructions and mimic the settings from the screenshots provided.

Thanks, I would really appreciate any help in moving forward here.

Thanks! Is spoofing that as simple as editing the text in the relevant two areas of OCC, or is there more to it?

How do I boot the INSTALLER into verbose mode? I haven't even made it through a successful initial install yet.
You have to use supported hardware or spoof the device ID to that of a supported card.

RX 6650 XT has no native support, You should spoof an RX 6600.

Also, boot in verbose mode to see what's going on.

I followed your suggestion and nothing changed. Then re enabled NVMEfix.kext and...
Write speed jumped to about 380 MB/s and most important read speed is now at the theorical limit of PCI express bus speed: 5000 MB/s
Thanks @CaseySJ !

Hello again! I am still stuck, and I could really use some help, please!

I went in and edited the config.plist in OCC and renamed the graphics to reflect 6600 instead of 6650, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Still stuck as shown in my earlier screenshot. The installer progress bar never moves off of where it is.

Is there a way to run the installer in verbose mode instead of graphical to see what it is hanging on?

Thanks, I really appreciate the assistance!

In your config.plist, go to NVRAM, and add -v at the front of your boot args as per the picture. This will then boot in Verbose mode and any errors will be displayed, post a screenshot of the error and someone can help you from there.
