Yeah, it's the same here. My Nikon D800 movie file crashes, but my Nikon D850 movie files (4k /1080p) works. Both use H.264.

So strange.
It might be issued from the Camera setting. Like using shaking hands off or not. I am not sure my iPhone has the option for Video, ut my action camera has the option for that and I am sure I did turn it on.

Yeah, it certainly could be some camera setting, but both cameras has the same settings (no incamera shake options). Same thing happens with some GoPro videos. All videos work as intended on the 2016 iMac I have at work. So it's definately some Vega / Integrated GPU issue. I think FCP X is looking for the integrated card to assist on analyzing motion (differently from movie to movie), and when it can't find the "function" it needs from that card, it just... yeah freezes.

Vega don't work with Integrated card as far as I know.

Just installed 10.13.4 beta 1 and while I was hopping that this will finally fix fan issue, still no luck.

Have you tried beta 2 or 3? @buyjoey says it's fixed with those beta's. So everything should be good.

I confirmed 10.13.4 beta 2 or later fixes Fan issue.

Also if you can install iMac Pro's high Sierra vesion 10.13.3 has no problems with Vega system. Stabilization working as well.

When I install 10.13.4 beta 3 only one of my display ports work. Does anyone else experience this?

it is not fixed with my sapphire vega 56, beta 2 and now beta 3 still having fan issue.

It went down for a while and it was silent with beta 3 for a 10 minutes but it started again and now even after reboot it is really loud

I updated beta4 look here. But I am using iMac Pro 1,1 which is a different high sierra version number. You might try the iMac Pro installation.

I also have Imac pro 1.1 and now just updated to beta 4 and still the same with sapphire vega 56, fan is still loud

Same here - and when you said it was silent for x amount of time, this is when the card actually runs with lower clockspeed. Try geekbench efter a reboot (fan blowing crazy), and try geekbench when the fan has settled down (if you run H.264 video, or the Macworld link)... the score will be about 30% lower with a "silent fan".

Gotta wait until Apple begins to support the cards in a real Mac Pro, probably.
