UniBeast will not create High Sierra USB Installer

My brother has an old 920 Core i7 running Snow Leopard with an nVidia GTS 250 video card. He said he did not need to install any video drivers. It ran right from the OS. He said it is a derivative of the 9800 GTX+.

I'm not sure if the GTS 250 is still supported in High Sierra. If it is, we need to make a few simple changes in config.plist before it would work.

Please try this EFI.

The result is the same as before. I do not want to use that video card, but since it was here, I thought I would try it. I removed it when it would not boot the computer.

Can you please provide an IORegistryExplorer output with the latest EFI?

Do you want to try a CLOVER I can make in the same pattern as my GA-Z97X-UD5H +Intel i5 4690K using Intel HD 4600 as the Graphics Card to replace what is inside your High Sierra System Disk?

That would be great!

The computer in this experiment was retired for the night. I will do that tomorrow. I am now turning off my real Apple computer.

That would be great!

  • I have uploaded EFI from that System [GA-Z97X-UD5H | i5 4690K | Radeon Other] that was using only Intel HD 4600 for Graphics and one Single Disk with macOS High Sierra 10.13.1. as a compressed file.
  • I have also uploaded the corresponding BIOS options as images of BIOS Features , Peripherals and Power .
  • I Hope this will help you succeed.

The main reason for my gesture was the sheer dogged determination with which you went for days on end on this project. Many would have cut and run by this time. What I observed was the true Hackintosh spirit. My hats Off to you.

Here it is just as you prepared it. I have not yet done the suggestion by cmn699.

Thank you for your words of encouragement for this process.
I checked everything in BIOS, downloaded your EFI, mounted my High Sierra HD with CC, opened the EFI partition, removed the EFI folder and replaced it with the one I downloaded from you. I opened config.plist to look it over. I see in BOOT, the Default Boot Volume shows HiSierraSgt312CS. Is that correct or should it show my HD that is named High Sierra?

You should rename that with your disk name.
Edit:

  • It is just a name , for your easy recognition. It really does not matter what you name it.
  • You can call it anything you like as long as you can recognize it once you click Finder>Preferences and [√] Hard disk [√] External disk to show the disks as icons on your desktop and that disk shows up..

  • Since I may have 5-6 disks with 5-6 different Operating systems like Mac different OS X , Windows different versions and Linux different distros in my system I want to know which HDD I have installed them to recognize them easily from desktop icons.
