UniBeast will not create High Sierra USB Installer

Any chance he would be willing to share his EFI?

I have no way knowing that.

Just a few hours ago, I made another test installation on my set of hardware,GA-Z97X-UD5H +i5 4690K and Intel HD 4600 macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 using iMac14,2 as the Product name in SMBIOS. It went very well. I upgraded that to 10.13.3 and would install the supplemental upgrade released 2 days ago on it sometime today.

I plan on uploading images from BIOS screen showing my choice for the Intel HD graphics and SATA HDD + CBM screen shot+ CBM Options Screen shots +Verbose boot screens + CLOVER + config choices shots once I get a chance to edit those images and organize them to be useful as an illustrated walk through to help those struggling with this installation.

Your help and efforts are really appreciated. In spite of some frustration, I plan to keep plugging away on this project.

Have we tried Inject EDID in Graphics yet?

pastrychef,
I am ready to upload a series of images to display the steps to install macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 on to a single SATA HDD (500GB) in HFS+J/GUID on my system with the Hardware GA-Z97X-UD5H i5 4690K using its Intel HD 4600 graphics.

Do you know whether Tonymac has any limitation for Image upload? I did not see on Rules, the policy about image upload.
I have about 75 images from selection of Flash Disk and HDD to System Report screens shots of installed HS 10.13.3.

If there is a limit, I have never hit it. The only limit I'm aware of is image size but most images are not problems.

Also, it may be helpful to name your image 01.jpg, 02.jpg, etc.

All of them are serialized and named for easy ID.

cmn699, that is a very impressive post! I did everything just as you posted without success. The computer will boot to Clover and then there is a reboot to Clover over and over. The only way to boot to the desktop is to manually Inject EFI Strings in Options. There must be a command in Clover Configurator to do this, but I cannot find it.
My BIOS Version is F7. I checked Gigabyte.com to discover that my version is the last permanent version dated Sept 19, 2015. However, there is a beta version: F8b dated March 3, 2016. I have read that beta versions should be avoided. I don't know if High Sierra requires that beta version. Doing some inquiries, I found someone who has the exact same MOBO as mine but with a 4690 CPU, not 4690k like mine. That MOBO has a BIOS F6, and a Sierra OS, not High Sierra and no attempt to try High Sierra. That computer has a Nvidia GTX 980, and it works well.

7thgradeteacher,
I uploaded those images to your thread hoping they would help you in your troubleshoot

I did everything just as you posted without success.
I would not have paused even a second to read through the above if the word "without" did not have the last syllable!
That prompted me to find more details.
But, the next sentence :

The computer will boot to Clover and then there is a reboot to Clover over and over.

may be quite acceptable in a non-science topic.
  • but for science or science and logic based topic of discussion, it is inadequate to convey the real 'diagnostic data'
  • This is the place for images to amplify and support spoken or written words.
  • The best way you could have helped to preserve and later convey that 'scene of the the disk boot failure' was to capture the monitor screen display with a series of Speed photography or video
  • Later, frame by frame analysis or upload to this forum of those images of verbose boot screen for a few more pairs of eyes to view and reconstruct the 'exact scene of that accident' could have helped to find the proximate cause.
  • I think you instinctively decided to :
The only way to boot to the desktop is to manually Inject EFI Strings in Options.
  • Now it is too late to know what caused this.
  • Everyone can speculate.....
But this post had helped another poster with a similar boot problem with a different hardware. You can find details here #40
