I've updated my first post recently to include the current status.

Ethernet is working and i've used the atherose2200ethernext kext for that. I'm not sure if all the advanced features work, but basic internet/networking is working as expected, and didn't have any issue's with this kext what so ever

awesome. i was plan to build my hackkintosh with MSI H270 Gaming but affraid that network will became a problem, because it also has E2500 as the controller. thanks lot for this information

any chance we can get a file dump of the kexts, configs, and EFI settings so others with this rig won't have to go chase it all down? I see some guidance, but its a bit incomplete.

Hi VicViper,

I've added a dump of the files that I used/changed/patched/installed to get this laptop up and running. I don't however know if this will work for everyone, as my setup has a 4k display & an NVME drive, which needed some special patching, and I don't remember exactly what I patched/changed along the way during my 2 weeks into getting this laptop to run mac os. First of all there are 2 config.plist in there. The default one, is the one I am using now & supports graphics acceleration, but is not bootable when using the installer (it will crash) I have however added a .bootable plist file, which is the one that is installed on my installer usb-drive. So you should use that one when installing.

For the NVME drive, you can try to use my files (ACPI-patch & plist-change I think) but it's best to double check with the laptop-guides on the forum for this.

& about the 4K screen, I did have to do some tweaks with the pixelclock, but again check the guides on the forum, because I can't remember what changes I exactly made ;)

So far, if you want audio, use the Realtek Kext & use a tool like soundflower (otherwise you won't get volume-control on the headphones), network is enabled by installing a kext called ALXEthernet.kext (find it here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/categories/kexts.11/) Wifi won't work unless you swap the wifi card(or somebody is able to patch this one) & bluetooth won't work either. I'm using a simple bluetooth dongle for it.

Be aware that the nvidia-pascal drivers won't work as this laptop uses nvidia optimus, which isn't supported. So it's intel gfx all the way. The display-port/hdmi won't work as these are connected to the nvidia card directly. You can use the apple usb-c dongle to hdmi/usb, BUT it's not working all the time, it will for some reason(still unknown to me) crash from time to time when plugging it in (I suspect it to be something related to hdmi-audio ....) and the usb-port on it won't work, but you have plenty of usb-ports on the laptop itself.

Hope this helps!

Stijn, this thread has helped me a lot! One question, how do you handle the resolution? Everything is mega tiny and it doesn't run smooth when I scale it down.

Hi sandrowalet,

I had the same problem for a while and this generaly means the gfx drivers are not working properly. If you check my updated first post, you will find that i use 2 different plist files. One with a real graphics id & one with a fake one & its that fake one that fixes the hardware accelerated graphics & will fix the stutter when scaling

First of all, my excuses RehabMan, I've edited my profile.

Stijn, I downloaded your File-Dump.zip and I take it that you're talking about config.plist and not config.plist.bootable. So the graphics are fixed when using config.plist after booting with config.plist.bootable + fixing pixel clock, correct?

Yes, for me that fixed the resolution issue's

I got most of it running! However it boots quite slow, I tried running in verbose mode but I don't see anything that stands out, do you experience the same? I built the USB using the latest UEFI Clover + your files from the dump.
