great guide. I will be trying this out on 6300 MT but it will only be available this weekend. does anyone by any chance have SSDT for the i5-3570 3.4Ghz version? I haven't really tried creating my own SSDT plus since I don't have the machine yet, I'm think maybe I can just prepare my installation files.

Thanks much; this is a great guide. I finished up an install of Sierra and upgrade to High Sierra yesterday on a 8300 SSF.

Any problems with Nvidia drivers?

I followed this guide and got everything including broadcom wifi+bluetooth to working. But sleep-wake works intermittently. When it does not wake , usually see blank screen for 2-3 minutes and then restarts itself. Did fresh install, but no change. Any suggestions?

I am considering upgrading i5 3470 to i5 3475 purely for the airplay purpose with HD4000. Should I go ahead with that for $60 or look for i7 3770? Really do not want to spend a whole lot.

Thanks

Yes, the I5-3475 should get the job done. The 3770 is really only necessary if you will be editing / rendering a lot of video on your system. Sleep problems can be complicated. It's always best to start by removing everything plugged in via USB and PCI-e x1 slots and then testing again. Add each back one at a time and see if it still has problems waking up.

Thanks. Just to be more specific its the i5-3475S. Would also like to request SSDT if anyone has it.

The story is, my first install was on SSD and GT710 (do not have it anymore). No USB except 1 dongle for both dell KB+mouse. Tried to add broadcom but was not successful. As far as I remember, the sleep was ok (cannot confirm tho). Eversince, I then upgraded to GT1030. But the sleep got so bad that on last sleep-restart the screen was flickering and showing 8MB VRAM.
So I did fresh install on HDD, this time along with broadcom plugged in. Everything works fine including wifi+bluetooth. But sleep-restart continues :( . No USBs apart from 1 Dell KB+mouse plugged in.

Night shift for me isn't working, I don't see the night shift tab in there in the display settings any idea what could the problem be?

Do you have the switches in the Notification Center? Are you on HS or Sierra?
