Quick note to say that following this guide on a clean system worked extremely well, and thank you cnrd for putting the guide together, and supporting it so well. I haven't had time to test everything, but I haven't found anything to not work yet. I'm using the Intel 530 IGFX waiting on Pascal support for an nVidia 1060 card.
One note is that I had trouble reaching the OS X El Capitan installer GUI when my monitor was connected to the VGA port. I added the Intel 530 fixes via Clover Configurator to the config.plist (turned on inject intel, and added the device id fix), and used the DVI port, and reached the installer GUI. Folks say that VGA isn't supported by OS X, but on my previous Hackintosh running El Capitan it was.
Holding off on Sierra due to the 530 issues. Hoping that we get Pascal support soon. I want to connect a second monitor via DP to my Apple 23" HD display, which sounds like it will present it's own set of challenges: need a dongle (female DP to male HDMI) and need to read through the info at https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...grated-graphics-working-as-of-10-11-4.188891/.
I know cnrd has revised the guide several times and is no longer supporting the El Cap guide, but I feel the part about generating the SSDT.aml via ssdtPRGen.sh is unclear. By trial and error I was able to finally get an SSDT.aml generated, but the guide isn't clear that it needs to be put in the acpi/patched directory in the EFI. Nothing against cnrd, this may be obvious to some but not obvious to others, just trying to fill in the gaps.
