cause you didn't format your drive using terminal? it didn't boot cause there no bootloader on the efi yet. diskutil list- screenshot it post it here?

Click Finder > Preferences> click and [√] all 4 boxes there. This will get all disk icons displayed on your Desktop Right Side. Launch Terminal Run the command: diskutil list- screenshot it post it here so they could help you

then try to mount that then installed your clover boot loader there.then remove your usb

try to mount your different partition drive it might there? i think it ruin your drive while you did clean installed you didnt format your drive using terminal:

are you just updating it from mojave to catalina or doing clean installed?

just use your old clover & check bios setting just little tweak on your bios i guess?

try uploading your efi with zip file here so someone could help you edited instead? or try this method below if doesnt try boots igfxonln=1

whats your bios setting? try adding VirtualSMC.kext on kext

since you use amd video card try Try using boots args: -v agdpmod-pikera make sure you put the updated lilu.kext & whatevergreen.kext
